    Default Rutgers -11

Have to think Rutgers can take care of business here by close to 20. Thoughts?

Was thinking the same thing....The Army lost to Tulane really stands out to me.

Love Army +11, best play of the week. Rutgers is horribly overrated.

True, but if Army cannot run the ball well, this will get out of hand. Army's only shot is to shorten the game and limit amount Rutgers has the O on the field.

I don't know TwinCities.....I was all over Pitt last week cause Rutgers was overrated there....Don't think they are overrated in this one against a really bad Army team. This line is too low. Rutgers impressed me last week even with the loss SU and ATS. And I think they get it done here. Army has beaten Eastern Mich, Ball St, and Vanderbilt ALL HORRIBLE teams.

Duke, Iowa St., and Temple beat up on em pretty good. Only close loss was to a horrible tulane team at home.

I expect Rutgers to roll here

#1: Rutgers isnt "good" but they are better than Army
#2: What in God's name does beating Vanderbilt prove? The only teams that havnt beaten vanderbilt are: Western Carolina (a DII school) and Rice AKA: the worst team in CFB

the problem with army is the defense, they wont stop rutgers running game and experienced o line.

final score, army 13, rutgers 36

    While we're playing this game:

Rutgers has played one road game this year, which they were trailing at the half and only pulled away late against a bad Maryland team because of turnovers (ended up +5 for the game). Their home wins? Howard, Texas Southern (both not FBS schools) and a garbage FIU team (by only 8 points). They got slaughtered at home by Cincinnati. Oddly, their best looking game is a 7 point home loss to Pitt, who's solid, but not amazing. I am a fan of Rutgers, but this team is just bad on both ends of the ball. I believe Army may actually have the better defense here and they're now getting 11 at home.

How would you suppose army to be even competitive vs a team that was in the running to win a conference a few years ago now up against a team whose best players are now fighting a war? God bless and prayers to our soldiers. Moment of silence....... Rutgers will roll in this one. Army has its best office personnel on duty.

Ada I generally like your posts, but your points don't really have any relevance to the outcome of the game. Are you trying to be funny and I just missed it?

Edit: To clarify, this isn't the same team to the one that almost won the conference a few years ago. Also, I'm pretty sure they don't just recruit the players out during the season and replace them with a bunch walk-ons. I'm basing it on the teams that have taken the field this year. And sorry, I really couldn't tell if you were trying to be funny or not.

Vandy is a good team just because they play in the SEC. I dont care if they are 0-12 they play in maybe the toughest confrence. (Not trying to stir up shit about the best confrence.) They get a taste of real football, and army was able to beat them. Rutgers not so much they are good but so is army and all Iam saying is it will be a low scoring game. Dont blow your load on Rutgers.

no they did not beat Vandy... I watched the game..vandy beat themselves! seriously 3 tds called back on penalties and a fumble as runner crossed the goal line in ot that went thru the endzone(would of won game)...then army kicked a fg to win...

Army could not score at all(was 3-0 army at half...sad)...they were pitiful...so imagine what I think of vandy!

That's how bad this team is! And that is why they are not the same team. I have clients leaving out of here left and right. And I mean young. They got to be snatching them out of the academies too. And who else is going to replace them? I am not signing up. I don't think you are signing up. They are replacing them with desperate young men. They just send the above average men to the academies. And when a smart body is needed. Gotta go Gotta go. You heard Cheney today. But this is football. Rutger rolls!

I'm leaning Army at home here... Rutgers is bad, very bad and they are getting pub off of the past few years. Army may keep this game close and may actually win. ML for me.

I guarantee you that the total in this game will not hit 49 points. This will be a defensive tussle and more likely finish out 20-17 at best.

If you're a degenerate gambler, wager your site's minimum bet.
Because if you lose this bet, wagering any serious cash, you will feel so goddam retarded that you put any serious cash on these horrible teams.

Save your cash for Saturday, their are a bunch of good lines.

With every post you make I'm starting to think you have downsydrom or something and I'm inclined to not tell you......but you're a fool. "Vandy is good just because they play in the SEC"? Vandy is bad, it doesnt matter what conference they play in they can still suck ass. Are you kidding me? Army was able to beat them because they really are that bad. Army lost at home to Tulane.TULANE. Please don't say such dumb things, because I have a problem letting people get away with them

By the way Army may cover this game, I'm on Rutgers but I've been wrong before. However Vanderbilt is not a good team, and just because a team plays is a big conference doesnt make them good

Rutgers by at least 13. And Vanderbilt is anybody's doormat. That shouldn't even be considered in determining who you should wage on. This weekend is South Carolina's Homecoming. They are playing Vanderbilt. I wonder why? Not!

This is exactly why I believe the spread's so high. I agree Army has a legit shot at the win here.

Ada, you do have some good points but in my mind both of these teams are not good at all. I do think that Rutgers is the better team out of the 2 but I just cant get myself to give up 11 points to a team that is about the same caliber. I will give the edge to Rutgers but my gut tells me to take Army at home plus the points.

Being favored by 10.5 at army isnt very high praises.......in fact for a Big East team that's a patheticaly low line

Rutgers is not playing like a "Big East Team" this year. More like a below average MAC team. If this exact game came up 5 years ago, I believe Army may be favored.

This is a wierd game. Army is the type of team that can lose to Tulane as a 6 point favorite, and defeat Vandy as a 10 point dog. Rutgers 4 wins have come against two FCS teams and two FBS teams that have a combined record of 3-10. I like the Service Academy's. I always pull for them. I will pull for the Army. They have a beautiful campus in a beautiful part of the nation. As far as wagering on this game goes, no way I touch it.

I agree with you for the most part about Rutgers....in fact I said all the same things last week when I told people Pitt was the play. But Rutgers did actually show me something last week. They arent too good this year twin....but army is actually horrible. Theyve beaten 3 horrible teams: Eastern Michigan is 0-6, Ball St. is 0-7 and Vanderbilt is 2-5 with wins against a DII school and Rice for god sakes. And their wins against Ball St. and Vandy were struggles.

Rutgers has lost to the two best big east teams. Beat Maryland at Maryland which is still sort of impressive even if Maryland is having a bad year.

I've got Rutgers winning this one in a 24-7 or 27-10 type of game.

Except that they really don't deserve a whole lot of credit for losing. Particularly when both games were at home and they got killed in one. Like I said earlier, the Pitt loss was probably their best game, not their average expected game. Like I also said earlier, I'm a fan of the team, but there was nothing impressive about the Maryland win. They were losing at the half, the game was legitimately in doubt in the 4th Q, and it took a few more late turnovers for Rutgers to pull away. Without the turnover at the end, Rutgers maybe gets a 4-point win.

As I'm processing this game and how I think it will go, I also think the under may be a strong play.
