I like FSU as well but they find ways to blow covers with stupid mistakes/penalties. Check this game for weather. If it's cold and wet then fade FSU like the plague. They suck in bad weather. If it's clear and sunny then maybe side with the Noles...

Yeah, I like FSU you...They have lost me alot of money, but they can get me on there good side once and for all if they give me this win this week. If not then consider me a FSU hater for life. Good lUck regardless of what you pick.Cheers

UNC has had problems on offense (they've been riddled with injuries along the OL and the new WR's have been slow to step up) but they can play defense (#3 in Total Defense nationally) FSU is an absolute train wreck, and I can't help but wonder if they've thrown in the towel on this season. It's a no play for me, the mental state of FSU right now makes it so.

North Carolina sucks on offense. I already booked Florida State +2.5. They will pull it out.

    Default avoiding FSU

FSU absolutely has the talent to beat this spead, but i'm not convinced their heads are in it. I think the coaching staff and the players may have mailed in the rest of the season already. I like UNC to step up and prove their merrit in this one. I like UNC, but im avoiding this game in my bets.

best of luck in whatever you do.

why take 2.5 points? you like them to lose by 1 or 2? take the money line.. not 2.5 points in a football game- betting 101.

That may be betting 101 for you but it is not your money you are betting. I will take any advantage I am given to cash the ticket. I guess you never saw a 14-13 score. If I do what you say I lose. If I take the points I win. That is all that matters to me.

How can anyone say that they may have mailed in their season? Their last game they lost 49-44. I don't call that mailing it in. Hey Ralphie you won't even need that extra half a point.Good luck though.

Teams that know their coach is leaving invariably do poorly, and the thugs at Florida State are hardly the type that will rise to the occasion.
    NC - 2.5 @ home!

the only fsu coaches that are likely gone after this year are on the defensive side. players are not playing for bobby at this point as he has already said he wants at least one more year

I like the under unc defense and shitty offense should be an under game but then again it is a Wednesday night game

The problem with the under is if UNC's offense plays it's normal game for this year, three and out, it'll take a great defensive effort because they'll be on the field the whole game. they'll likely wear down against FSU's good offense.

I'm a long time, dyed in the wool UNC fan and I can tell you that except for one game in 2001 when they beat FSU 41-9, a good performance against Florida State has been a three touchdown loss.

The fly in the ointment is that it's a Thursday night game. I don't EVER bet my heart but, if you can't take UNC, I'd say don't bet.

UNC's defense has been great (14 pts/game) and FSUs offense is questionable I think the under is the bet

I don't put much stock in national defensive or offensive rankings because they don't take into consideration who you've played or for that matter, the playing conditions. Just points scored. I just can't buy into it, myself.

    Good luck.

What the hell can we make of FSU? These guys had Miami beat in the opener if not for a dropped TD pass at the end of the game, needed a 4th quarter miracle to beat Jacksonville St, demolished BYU in Provo, and have then lost 3 straight. I don't know what the hell to think about the Noles. However, I do know what to think about UNC. The Tar Heels are inept on offense. They can't score at all. However, FSU's defense has been just as bad. I think this one will be a shootout with FSU having more firepower on offense and coming out of there with an outright win. FSU Money Line is the play for me. Good luck with what you guys decide.

despite what i said earlier, I've booked FSU in a couple teasers. I like that play.

FSU's offense has looked really good this season behind Christian Ponder. He is a very smart QB and makes good decisions, as evidenced by his 67% completion percentage and 9/1 TD/INT ratio. Just 1 INT this season for Ponder on a team that is 2-4. Ponder will not shoot himself in the foot and lose it on his own and that is important because UNC's offense is very bad and they need turnovers to score points. UNC will have to earn every point, and that is not a good thing for an offense that essentially ranks dead last in almost every important offensive category. TJ Yates has been forcing the ball trying to make things happen and that has lead to a 6/7 TD/INT ratio.

I also think the UNC defense is a little overrated. They have padded their stats against (for the most part) very weak offenses.

Florida State is the play. Got it a +3.

Also if Serboner would like to wager his 135 points, I'll take that bet.

i like seeing this. sometimes the dog is the call that's "too easy". i'm leaning unc. lot less questionmarks from a psychological standpoint and they play good d and are at home. this really is another one of those weeknight games you probably wouldn't take if it were lumped in with everything else on saturday, though. but more than likely we all on the forum will do something because it's there.

Must this game be betted on? From all I've read here, it's like each person is trying hard to create an edge on which to bet. When a road team has no clear edge over the home team and it's a 50/50 affair, take the home team or pass.

unless you think the road dog is gonna score a bunch of points and the home fave is gonna score only a few....I think a lot of people pointed that out. Seems like a good reason to bet the game if you ask me.

Florida has a lot of value because people are down on them, and for some reason up on a N.C. has 4 wins against average to poor teams, one bad loss to a good team, and one bad loss to a poor team. with the loss to virginia at home.

Florida St. has 4 losses 3 to pretty solid teams all fairly close, and one to a jeckle and hide team. They also destroyed BYU on the road.

didnt try too hard there to create and edge...it just kind of punched me in the face

a useless stat followed by nonsense......

UNC's defense has allowed 14/pts per game against:

    Citadel
    UCONN
    East Carolina
    Georgia Tech
    Virginia
    Georgia Southern

The only team above with an offense as good as Florida St. is Georgia Tech and they gave up 24 to them....

    Florida St's offense is questionable?

    Scored 34 on Miami
    54 on BYU
    21 on Boston College
    and 44 on Georgia tech.

granted they only put on 19 on Jacksonville st. and 7 on South Florida....but I wouldnt call their offense questionable

Have to agree here. FSU is not as bad as their record indicates. They are, however, inconsistent. I believe FSU has the superior athletes and the offense is really clicking. If the defense can keep UNC under 30, which I think they will, FSU should win the game. I think the defense does enough and FSU comes through with a big win for Bowden.

if you pick your plays by fading public and playing RLM you'll still end up pretty much break even just paying the juice
