Default Looks like Clemson is getting pounded

Lined opened at Miami -7, dropped to Miami -6 and now I'm seeing -5.5 pop up.

Anyone have an idea why Clemson is getting hit this heavy? I still can't figure it out.

I wouldn't say Clemson is getting hit heavy.

My definition of a team getting hit heavy is when the line is moving in a UNIDIRECTIONAL fashion meaning it is moving one way only.

The line for Clemson has been moving in both directions. The 1.5 point you are observing is the net result so far.

If you want to talk about a team that is being hit heavy like a Vegas hooker, check Toledo. They were a 1 point underdog. They are now a 3.5 point favorite.

And the line has been moving in one direction only.

Clemson's pass defense can shut down the Miami attack. The offense took some steps in the right direction over the bye week.

clemson is back and forth after blowing up wake i look for them to lay an egg.

it was an impressive change against wake though, especially with the fighting among Clemson coaches

unless its raining, J. Harris will be too much for clemson. Anyone catch that Vtech game? the one drive Miami had where the rain let up, he was money. And has been money all year. If the weather is nice, I like Miami by double digits here. I dont understand why Clemson is being hit so heavy. This miami team destroyed G tech, and be Okla (bradfordless, but their D is still their great D).

they are being hit because a bunch of squares saw them role Wake and think they are good. Ive watched them choke time and time again. KC is raw but thats it.

Miami has to be the most battle tested team, which is a HUGE part of the way I cap games. They have had a tough game almost every week and done well with it.

Just observed that Clemson has lost their three road games this year by 3, 3, and 4. Two of them versus GT and TCU. That may be part of it.

I'm surprised the line started at 7 or so. But you have to consider the fact that Clemson had GTech beat, save for some bad early defense(which has since been corrected). Another close and unlucky loss vs TCU, which is still undefeated. The loss at Maryland is a glitch, but doesn't bode well for the Tigers road future. If Clemson plays to its' potential, they win at Miami. If they play like kids on the road, they might lose by 10 or more. I wouldn't touch this one with a ten foot pole.

Means nothing. Nebraska got pounded last week from -6.5 to -10.5 and lost by 3 TD's.

actually there are few games with some 2pt or more movement in one direction...keep an eye out boys...last week there 5 games that moved 2 or more points in one way and all covered toward the movement...i.e. Loisiana Tech opened at -17 and went up 19 and some 20's final score 45-7 EASY COVER! I had 4 more like this last week 5-0 total

I agree with you cgars, but one game that didn't follow this trend
-Hawaii @ Idaho had major movement last week in favor of Hawaii last week but Idaho covered the initial spread.

Miami -4.5 and betting on Matchbook looks like it's still pulling towards Clemson.
