Find out what you do best and concentrate on starting from scratch with a set amount of money. Find out what your goal is. Do you want to have a lot of action, or do you want to make a lot of money? How much can you afford to lose?
If you can't control yourself playing in the casinos, STOP!
Set up an account for a sport (college football for example) begin betting at 2-3% of your bankroll and with games you feel more confident on bet a little bit more. NEVER GO ALL IN ON A
Avoid the tempting spotlight games and look for angles that others might see as obvious choices. Follow some of the cappers on here that pick the games that nobody else picks. Don't follow all those picks, but look into why it might or might not be a good pick.
If you can't separate your personal life from gambling, then you need not be gambling.
If you can't learn from your mistakes and look for excuses for why everything and everybody is against you, then you will not become more successful.
BOL to you and eff that girl, there are so many more out there.
