Maybe something like this has been tried before I joined SBR. Maybe it is something the members could care less about. I’m gonna propose it anyways and we’ll see where it goes from there.

I’m thinking everyone recommend 5 members who are regular posters for college football. We will accept only the three that the majority has nominated and see if they are willing to work together in a joint effort to select a consensus card for the week. I am suggesting everyone nominate 5 because I am assuming that pag11 will be nominated by a vast majority and not to be deciding for him but not sure it is something he would have time for or interest in. That would leave 4 to elect as the SBR Syndicate and 1 alternate in case one of the nominees doesn’t want to participate.


I’m not asking for a popularity vote. We would need to seriously nominate members that know their stuff. Preferably members that while specialize in a specific conference (i.e. MSUSpartan32 in the Big Ten) but have good knowledge of others. We can either vote on a specific number of games (would suggest 5 max) the week prior and the team can collaborate and give their opinions on each game or just have them do their own cards and decide on the games they agree on.


I’m just curious to see if a few of our members where to work together what damage could be done.

Two of those are Sharp bets, and two are square. I think its obvious which one they are. The objective should be to stay away from public games & teams. Rather find some underground games that only those who watch plenty of college football would notice. Mid-Majors are where to start.

Sponger..............not trying to get anyone to change anything. Participation isn't required. I just wanted to see if there was an interest from any of our members to try and pull resources to see what they could do when focused on a single focus. As far as going to everyones threads for plays, why would that change? Appreciative followers will still follow this is just an experiment to see what could happen.

QH..........it was just a simple idea that I wanted to see if there would be interest in. Figuring out how many games, which games whatever could be handled easily enough if there were three guy willing to work together. As I said I was bored and this was an idea that I expressed. How it would come about, if it could come about isn't likely, I just threw it out there for a response.

With 5 people picking games, I do not know what kind of consensus youwill have on Saturday. Obviously it is easier on the weekdays, because you are so limited as to thenumber of games,normally one. The collective "we" do not even have 5 picks for Saturday as of yet, and may not have 5 picks at all.

well bigdaddy I did read your blog....and a computer makes your picks, so theres really no need for discussion in your group I guess. And I think 3-5 good cappers should be able to spot some of the same off lines. Maybe not 5 but how many as long as they are winners.

For example me Ralphi and Houlihans are all loving Mississippi St. at this point, and we were all on Idaho the last 2 weeks.
