    Default South Carolina +17?

What am I missing here? Bama is great, but 17? SC D is pretty good.

All I'm gonna say is one thing to give you some food for thought.

Bama has covered the spread in all but one game this year.

Also...Nevada -9.5 at Utah State looks pretty good

Ark +24 looks better to me also.
SC may get shut out, on the other hand I expect Ark to trade points with FLA all day

I think that homecoming works against the home team, if it has an effect at all. It just adds extra shit to do that week to take their minds away from the game. i don't see why a weekend where alumni come and get drunk and act like they are 18 again adds any extra motivation when it's game time.

That would all depend on your coach and his ability to keep his palyers focus

they just dominated missi, which i think has a way better defense than s.caro

The bookies have adjusted lines for this team now because the public is gonna have a stiffy for them. I AM LOVING south carolina in this spot. And initially leaned arkansas +24 until I remembered that they have a horrible defense, and their offense probably won't look so hot against a stout florida defense

Cougar I'm also looking at California too....UCLA is not a very good team

Just leans guys...usually only one or two make the final card...but thanks for the thoughts.

Apparently not everyone is interested in having intelligent conversation about college football.

I think it might be someone's 5th birthday. Not sure.

Miss is on the downfall, SC looks to be finding their stride. Too even think SC defense is much worse is retarded thinking.

right......this is how the books make so much money.

People thought Alabama was giving too many points on the road (6.5) to an average mississippi team. They end up beating the crap out of them...

Then everyone thinks alabama is just amazing and an obscene line of -17 comes up against a team that is better than Mississippi....Maybe not in terms of pre-season rankings, but that's not reality.

Now everyone is gonna jump on Bama and when they only win by 10 they will start screaming about how alabama is overrated. haha it's truely funny

Florida is going to have a letdown game. If nothing else, Arkansas can backdoor them. This reminds me a little of 2001 when they played Auburn as a 3-4 td favorite after beating LSU in Baton Rouge and lost to Auburn. The Ole Miss game last year came after a big game at Tennessee.

Though the same can be said about Alabama as far as a letdown game goes...SC just isn't the same team on the road.

in the Swamp at night will be tough. Petrino is the best at lighting the scoreboard up but is it possible against these guys? Also, Arkansas's defense is inconsistent at best. My gut tells me that Arky covers though

also, I like South Carolina as well. Even though they barely beat a UK team without its top 2 cornerbacks. 17 is too many to give with such a stout USC defense. They've played really great most of the year and I think they hold Alabama under 30 points AT LEAST. I also think that South Carolina will be able to score a couple touchdowns.

They are the worst defense in the SEC.....and you call that inconsistent??? Their defense is bad plain and simple, that combined with how solid Florida's defense is makes me think there are A LOT of people that are gonna lose money on Arkansas this week

well, dbldown I was trying to be nice. I do think that defense will improve at some point during the year but I dont think it'll be this week. If Petrino and Co. can score in the high 20's, then Florida has to score in the 50's to cover. I think it is very possible they do, but for some reason I think Urban may call the dogs off

I agree with everything you said there tpowell....except I have to assume that Arkansas will score no more than 10...Florida's defense has given up more than 7 points once.....and that was against Tennesee and was more a result of turnovers than the defense.

Even Kentucky (a team that has a pretty decent offense) only put up 7. I look for this line to get bet down to around 21.5 or so and I'll be on it then

Alabama fabs the real ones well the smart ones that graduated their and have had the same seats for 15 years or more , dont think homecoming works in our favor , we re actually kind of mad south carolina was pu here for home coming , this game to them is a insult and they are liable to go down their wnad woop some tell , this will be a game time decision and if you hear a lot of talk on this game and south carolina being offended take south carolina ,

  28. #28

dbldown are you serious? Kentucky's offense blows, they have NOTHING. Arkansas is far and away outside of Florida the best offense in the SEC IMO.

Ark is not too be overlooked with their sick offense we will see +24 is worthy of a bet IMO

KY's offense will be interesting to see with a backup QB.

  31. #31

Kentucky has lost 3 games....Florida, Bama, and S.C. those are three VERY tough teams.

They only put up 7 on Florida, 20 on Bama and 26 on South Carolina, that's pretty respectable in my book

  32. #32

    Default

Arkansas only put up 7 on Bama, and Florida's defense is even better than that. and Bama beat them by 28....

I think the books are really gonna clean up on this game as everyone I've seen is leaning Arkansas besides me

  33. #33

I'm leaning FL also but haven't considered it a play yet..think it may come down a bunch though too, so we'll see.

  34. #34

so UK's offense is better because they scored 13 more points on Bama than Arky did?

  35. #35

I didn't say Kentucky's offense is better than Arkansas per se....but I did say they have a decent offense.
