    Default Missouri +150

    Missouri +150

I love what the books are doing on this game. Nebraska is getting all the encomiums from the public. People have been talking about how great their defense is. Money starts pouring on Nebraska. The books promptly adjust the spread from 3.5 to 4 points in agreement with the public. Then less than 2 hours to the game, the books begin to speak the truth. The spread has been restored back to 3.5 in line with the TRUTH.

The truth is that the public is being fooled by Nebraska's 55-0 win over a non-existent Lafayette team. Nebraska aren't yet where we'd like to believe they are. Hear this:

"The Tigers should have an advantage playing at Faurot Field. Missouri has won 23 of 27 home games and taken three straight over Nebraska at Faurot.
Nebraska has lost seven in a row and 14 of 15 road games against ranked opponents."

I'm not doing Mizzou because of that lovely trend, but because a Mizzou SU win is a fact-in-waiting.

I have to forgive myself for playing Mizzou. Is their defense this bad? 19 points conceded within the first 5 minutes of the 4Q? Silly.

Tough to play defense on a short wet field when your QB throws 2 interceptions deep in your own territory.

I have to start looking for a plus-value pick tomorrow to make up for this mess.

I think Twins FF is better than Twins ML. The Yankees at home tend to score in bunches around the 7th and 8th inning.
I'll pass on the U-20 tournament.

Argentina: San Lorenzo +105 is good.

wilforth, it wasn't a bad read on first glance

its a home conference game and you have a team getting 3 pts or more at home so it seems very solid,

im actually surprised it wasnt more of a big win with the rain (although Roy Helu had the flu or something of the sort) as NU is a run first team and Mizzou is a pass first team,

that was the worst 3 qtrs the NU offense has had all year, some luck played into the end for sure, but this team is very very good

the game against Va Tech had they converted any 3rd downs on offense they would have had a 2 or 3 Tds instead of 5 FG's, a game they dominated until the last plays of the game

bol on your future picks Wilforth, I follow you some for soccer, a sport i have little knowledge of

I wouldn't be too down or give too much credit to the other side for their capping in this game. I think this game was a toss up based on who the teams had played to this point and the performances in those games. To be honest neither has really played anyone with the exception of Nebraska at V-Tech with the Hoockies having Miami on deck. I know we have some quality guys on this site but I doubt a single person who had Mebraska figured a 6 minute turn of event s like happened in tonights game into their process. I personally ended up on Nebraska purely because of the weather and the anticipation that a solid running game would be the difference here. Little did I realize Nebraska wasn't game planning a running game until the 4th period.

Plenty of good games this weekend to make up for more than this game. Good fortune on the coming plays.
