Question USC @ Cal thoughts . . .

I am on the fence with this game I have read many write ups on both teams on how they will win, but the bottom line is that USC is the superior team in this one. USC will win at Cal and get started on winning the Pac-10 title with this game tonight.

Most technical analyses I've seen lean towards Cal, but Oregon showed last week how to beat Cal by stacking against the run and USC certainly has the talent on defense to do the same thing. I've seen Cal's QB play a few times and he appears very mediocre to me. USC's Barkley is road tested after the Ohio St. win, so I don't him laying a big egg or anything; not saying he'll be great because Cal's D is solid, just that I don't see a ton of mistakes. I'm not betting the game, but if I had to I'd take USC laying the 4 (also, the line opened at USC -6.5, which scares me a bit).

I agree with you that Oregon laid out the blue print on how to shutdown the high powered Cal offense, USC's linebackers are so well displined that they might not even need to bring down the saftey to help out with the run. I personally saw midlle LB Chris Galiop play in high school as he single handley dominated my high powered tough running team (our RB is now starting over at Villanova). I know that the offense will do its thing and put up 24 points and I feel that the USC defense will hold to less than 16 points.

Final score * * * predicticoin * * *

USC 27
Cal 14

Good luck to everyone playing this game it will be decided in the 4th quarter watch . . .

Cal cannot hang with all the studs on USC . . . i mean the Full Back on a 50+ yrd reception? If Stefon Johnson was playing it would be 14 - 0 I will take 3 pt any day 10 - 0 is all good too $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I thought Cal would acquit themselves better. USC was impressive.
