Kensucky has only beaten Bama twice ever so Bama ML maybe as safe as fort knox. It will take a series of events for them to lose, one being a McElroy collapse in his first road test.

I'm still not convinced that they are better this year. I think most teams just happen to be worse then they were last year. I'm not sold on the Va. Tech win but the Arkansas beat down was very damn good. I like UK's experience at skill positions over Bama's youth in spots.

UK is last in the SEC and probably the nation against the run. That is a sure fire recipe for death against Bama's strength. But, knowing RBrooks, I bet he got in their ass about giving up the run and they will probably stack all 11 in the box to prevent it today. If they can force Bama into passing uncomfortably, this could get interesting. On the other hand they could get the doors blown off in the 1st quarter especially since they've sucked in the 1st quarter this season. However, I don't think a team has scored against them in the 2nd quarter. I may put a little on Bama 1st quarter, UK 2nd... We'll see.

I had Washington ML against USC this year as well... I also had USC over Ole Miss ML, USF over FSU ML, Iowa over PSU ML too...

Let me preface this post by saying this. I think Kentucky with the points is the play, if there is one. I don't think Bama is the play for anyone.

However, you seem to have a mis-perception about Alabama. This is a team that is definitely better than their team last year. Their defense is better, although with the loss of Hightower it will be interesting until they get Jerrell Harris back in 2 weeks.

You mention Alabama's running game. However, that really isn't a strength this year. I think it is seen as a strength because of the numbers early on, but this isn't a team who can line up and run on you like last year. This is a much more balanced team because they have to be. They don't have the run blocking line, and you will see much more Wildcat and PA on 3rd and short. This teams strength is actually the passing game. McElroy is much better than Wilson in the air, and they have opened up the offense more this season to reflect that. They are very good at the skill positions.

I do see your point about McElroy struggling in his first true road start, but the neutral site game against a top 10 team should help ease that.

Anyways, good luck with the bet...If there is a play I believe it is Kentucky as well. Not really trying to post in your threads against your bet although it probably appears that way ha.....just more looking for football conversation and your reasonings.
