Default HARRY'S WEEK #5 COLLEGE "TOTAL PACKAGE" (13-3 on the season)

When Florida went up 31-0 late in the first quarter last week against Kentucky, I felt pretty certain that I would cash the OVER 52- ticket I had in my pocket. That pop to Tebow's head was a definite buzzkiller (though I'm sure more for him than me.) Anyway, lost that one but still managed to go 3-1 on the week and bring the season total to 13-3. Let's try to keep it up....

    NOTRE DAME/WASHINGTON - UNDER 55

The Fighting Irish defense has been absolutely abysmal so far this year, giving up a nosehair short of 400 ypg. Fortunately their offense has been digging 'em out of holes by averaging 32 points. But now they've got some injuries....Clausen has a sprained toe, the top WR Floyd is out for the year, and there are injuries in the RB stable. On a day that calls for sloppy weather, I look for Notre Dame to pull the reins in offensively, try to control the ball and the clock, and win a low-scoring contest.

    NEVADA/UNLV - UNDER 59-

Both of these teams have pathetic pass defenses, each giving up close to 300 ypg through the air. But on this Saturday night game in Reno, the weatherman is calling for some blustery weather with winds blowing up to 25 mph. That should force these offenses to rely on the ground game. Advantage Nevada, standing 0-3 and desperately in search of their first victory. They'll get it here in a relatively low-scoring game.

    FLORIDA ATLANTIC/WYOMING - UNDER 50

Florida Atlantic is averaging 15 ppg and Wyoming 17 ppg. Granted their defensive numbers are a lot higher, but I believe the stats are a bit skewed because Wyoming got whomped by Texas and FAU got roughed up by Nebraska. These are two very conservative teams. Wyoming will be featuring a sophomore QB who's yet to play his first road game. IIn the heat and the humidity, I don't think this one goes north of 40.

    CALIFORNIA/USC - OVER 46-

I'm sure that if you bought tickets to this game a few months back, you'd have never guessed you'd have two teams slinking into the stadium with their tails between their legs. But that's precisely what we have. USC looked pretty good beating Notre Dame, but then was upended by Washington and barely survived the toothless Cougars of Washingon State. Cal meanwhile was climbing up the national rankings until last week when they were totally castrated by the Ducks of Oregon. This is make or break time for both of these squads. I smell fireworks.

    As always, best of luck.

"USC looked pretty good beating Notre Dame."

Harry, you hitting the sauce or is the secret to your success that you're using the 2008 database?

Kidding. Keep up the good work.

Yeah who do you mean instead of ND? Ohio St. maybe? And did'nt USC beat Wash St. by 21?? Don't know if I call that barely surviving.

Oops, yeah I meant Ohio State, not Notre Dame. As for USC struggling last week....sure they won by 21, but they were favored by 45-. The Washington State Cougars actually had more first downs than the Trojans and controlled the time of possession 36-24. It wasn't SC's finest hour.

That run came to an abrupt halt in a big way.
