I can somewhat understand your frustration. I'm a huge Gator fan and I don't like all the pub ESPN spews about the Gators and unfortunately Tebow. It's almost like they are running their own Hiesman campaign. I ask you this one question though, is any of this Tebow's fault? Do you really think he has anything to do with all the publicity? Well I guess he does in that aspect of being a truly good guy who is dedicated to his team his community, his school, his family and his faith. I mean it's one thing to hate the hype but to hate the person in this case seems to be pure envy.

What school out there wouldn't want a player like a Tim Tebow who can inspire with his ACTIONS and not just his mouth? What fan out there wouldn't want his team to have a team leader who can rally his troops to keep up the fight when the expectations are at an unbelievable high standard?

I wish ESPN would give equal time to other players around the country who deserve their respect as well. I hate turning on ESPN and seeing 80% of the coverage focused on Tebow's injury when Bayor's qb and USC's running back get normal or minimal mentions. I hate that we purposely put Tebow on such a pedestal but how can all this be his fault.

I don't personally think Tebow is the second coming for the record but in a error where we elevate outburst and questionable behavior to be cool, how can we not take atleast a little pride in someone who leads by example.

For the record Tebow is not now or has he ever been as good as any number of pure quarterbacks in the country. He is though arguably one of the best football players in the country. He is a leader on and off the field and if that doesn't garner some respect then we have truly dissolved as a society.

That is probably one of the dumbest statements I've ever heard...People argue that he is one of, if not, the best college football player to ever play. You are comparing him to two people that are system quarterbacks. I'm not saying Tebow isn't a system quarterback but he does everything. Cincinnati and Texas Tech never run the ball so of course their stats are going to be out the roof, also next time either of those quarterbacks throws for 20+ and runs for 20+ tds in the same season come talk to me. You comparing these people is like comparing Graham Harrell of last year to any quarterback...sure he had the best numbers but was he even drafted? no because he was a system quarterback that fit well but would never do anything in another system...basically he had no potential just fit into the system well

Perhaps the best college quarterback ever, and a great human being, but I don't see how he'll be great in the pros.

I argued up and down about this two years ago. I argued that while he wasn't ready at the time he was still young enough to develope and make the transition. Two years later I can no-longer make the same argument. He hasn't made the needed changes in his footwork and delivery to be an NFL quarterback. He still doesn't read the coverages very well. While he can make good throws it's not enough at the next level. I do however think there are several teams out there that will take a chance and draft him as a quarterback, namely Jacksonville. The Jags are a small market team that NEEDS a draw. Tebow being from the area and having cult status in the state would be a logical fit. They already play a conservative offense that wants to ground and pound so a Tebow in a system like that wouldn't be a stretch. Still won't make him an NFL traditional type quarterback but more of a continued system style quarterback at an NFL level.

    Default tim tebow leader

hmm Tim Tebow a leader a great one maybe. Untill he can prove his worth on the field he might as well call it quits. Lets see how well he produces after that heavy hit. This is not the NFL but if he were in the NFL you can throw all that team leadership and pep talk out the window because in the NFL its all about the numbers baby because if you dont produce the numbers you go to the cold shower go home and dont comeback. Ohh and did I mention the NFL is a business.Maybe I will go soft on Tebow say hes not garbage he just not producing the huge numbers for a future top nfl player.Could he still go to the NFL maybe.

Hmmm, I guess you never played in the NFL or know someone who played. The NFL is all about leadership. Leadership from the owner, GM, coach, players, etc. I can tell you 10 years from now what teams will be good and what teams will be bad. Why?? Leadership. Football play on the field is all about emotion, momentum. When teams have players that lack emotion, drive, passion, etc. the results are self evident.

Tim Tebow would fit in well in Miami as well. Yes he needs work and is a system QB as well BUT his heart and leadership is something you can't buy. I'd take a chance on him before some of these other screw ups.

I agree with the hype portion of ESPN being garbage but the network itself for the sports fan would be missed if it were gone. I don't know if many here are old enough to remember two college games on a Staurday only but it sucked compared to what ESPN brought to todays fan.

When ESPN started it was there creed to be all sports all the time. Obviously success happened and they became a monopoly. Now they try and control the game more than just provide the games.

Still I would hate returning to the days yore.

If you dont know who tony pike is you should look him up bc he is turning cincinati into a real contender.

There is no garantee that tim tebow is even the real deal, imho he could easily just be a product of the environment which means if he gets drafted he'll flop big!!

Look at Graham Herrell how many records did he brake and Tx Tech doesnt get the talent that Florida gets. Herrell is playn in Canada now??

Tebow is insanely over-rated, Remember Danny Wherful??? LOL

Until Florida starts either losing some games or winning without him on the field, I'll have to disagree that he is garbage. Best college QB playing right now? Prolly not. But, definitely not garbage.

Do the other QB's you mentioned have those "stats" OR DO THEY FAIL MISERABLY WHEN COMPARED TO TEBOW??? :+clueless

I gaurantee you that Tebow is a product of his environment (as in FU is ridiculously loaded w/ the best top tier talent and coaching), He will fail miserably in the pro's!!

"Tebow is garbage" is one of the stupidest comments I've ever heard. Stats-wise he has come close to or broken many SEC records. Leadership wise he has 2 (and maybe soon, 3) National Championships and a Heisman (maybe 2). He is a product of a system, but the system is also a product of him. Urban Meyer could not have done many of the things he wanted to do without Tim Tebow. Don't forget, this was one of the highest rated kids out of High School.

Second, just because someone will not translate to the NFL, does not diminish in the SLIGHTEST what they do in NCAA. While they are fundamentally the same sport, the intricasies of each favor some athletes in one brand and some athletes in the other brand. Even IF Tebow is a complete bust in the NFL (and I don't believe that), his accomplishments alone in college ball make him one of the greatest football players of all time. To say he is garbage is just plain stupid. Overhyped? Yes. A skill set that won't translate to the pros? Maybe. Garbage? Absolutely not!

Tebows what 2 or 3 TDs shy of breaking Herschal Walkers TD record of 45.
But Herschal only played 3 yrs I believe. Still that would make him an above average college football player IMO.

Wasn't Matt Leinart just named the college QB of the decade? Leinart has been crap as a pro and I don't think Tebow will fair much better at the next level. But Garbage....no way....he's a leader plus he takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'.

Maybe he'll start a new NFL trend. The Wildcat tight end.

Im not a Tebow hater, I just dont like the fact that he is over hyped. lol

Its silly to consider him one of the best college players, you just cant measure something like that when somebody is on a team like that (there are so many diverse teams and different situations), its silly how people over hype tebow, much respect to everybodys opinion though

And the pros will be exactly what Tebow needs to be measured accurately, then you will see what kind of athelete/competitor he really is.

Who holds the NCAA record for rushing?? Ron Duane is it
Exactly my point, he was a flop in the pros...

"One of the greatest football players of all time"... Thats the most retarded statement Ive ever heard in a while!! No disrespect I cant figure that out, I think you hold college sports a little too high.

I didnt say he was garbage, just overhyped and ultimately untested, lets wait for the pros...

    Good day everyday!
