Default Alabama at Kentucky 12:20pm EST

Kentucky +17 looks very good to me. Don't let the beatdown by the Gators sway your opinion of UK. This team can put up points and they are usually very disciplined. They match up with Alabama much better than UF. This game is going to be much closer then the spread. I also like that the game is earlier in the day. Bama may not wake up until it's too late. I'm going to sprinkle a little ML on UK as well. Call me crazy but I think this game goes down to the wire.

i really hope your right, i live in kentucky, but don't see it..i really wouldn't put my money on the cats, the line is bad (defensive) are qb is bad, if we played randell cobb at qb it would help..i look for a blow out..i think the play is alabama or no play..best of luck to ya...hope your are right..i will be at the game but thats the only money of mine that will be there.

I think UK is in for a beatdown like last week. Probably a no-play for me though. Best of luck to you

Bama's toughest games last year were, Utah, UF then UK... These teams are not much different. Arkansas missed a bunch of tackles against Bama which gave them a blowout. UK won't miss that many tackles. UK usually doesn't hurt themselves much by way of stupid penalties. This game is going to be close. I've already layed a lot on the Cat's but I may hammer it if the line jumps up a little higher.

I don't know how the game will play out, but I disagree with your post.

UK was not the 3rd toughest game for Alabama last year. LSU was, followed by Ole Miss and Kentucky. The Kentucky game last year was the normal game for Alabama. Alabama jumped out to a quick lead leading 14-0 at halftime then let up. They led 17-7 when Kentucky scored a late touchdown to make the game closer than it actually was.

I do agree with you that Kentucky matches up better with Alabama than Florida, but this Alabama team is not the same team that they had last year. Many more weapons on the offensive side of the ball and a better pass rush which was not evident last season.

Did you watch the game Fogtown?? Bama didn't do any letting up in this one. UK battled them until the last second. Bama had to finally get a game saving FG drive with about 2 minutes left when they were only up 7 points. Coffee fumble to start that drive on their own 10 yard line which would have let UK get in the driver seat. Fortunately for Bama the ball rolled out of bounds and they drove all the way down the field to settle for a FG. UK still came right back and scored a TD in about 50 seconds. Bama had to recover an onside kick to save the win.

The LSU game went into OT but both teams were giving the ball up with stupid turnovers. UK took away Bama's passing and played physical across the board. Say what you want but UK has been a physical team under Brooks.

Yes, I watched the game. The Kentucky game for Alabama was never in doubt. In fact, the Ole Miss game...although almost the exact same, was closer. Ole Miss actually had the ball with a chance to score the go ahead touchdown in the last minute. That Kentucky game was never in doubt. I am not arguing that Kentucky didn't play Alabama tough last year, they did. However, it wasn't a game in doubt. If you recall, Alabama had a history of starting strong and finishing slow last season for most of the year.

Like I said though, this could be a let down game. However, Ole Miss losing makes it less of a look ahead game than it looked like it would be. Also, while it is an early kickoff, Alabama was very strong on the road last year. Saban is a coach who knows how to travel. While Kentucky matches up much better with Alabama than they did with Florida, I wouldn't touch this line. I could see either side scoring a touchdown late to cover. Good luck with it whatever you decide to play.

Moneyline would be "throwing your money away." In my opinion. Saban knows all about last week and what happened with Florida, and how kentucky will come up firing this week, at home with another shot to take down a top 3 team in the nation. Saban will have his boys ready, and the talent is far superior with bama'. They roll by....

I just went large on UK and I'm going to sprinkle the ML for a little bit, when the line comes out. UK is going to cover in this game and they just may win. Turnovers will be the key in this matchup. Call me crazy but on Sunday you may call me a prophet

I see Alabama playing tough with UK this week. They want to play in the BCS! They want to play in Atlanta with Florida for the SEC Chamsp. Florida hung 34 pts on UK last week with Tebow going out in the second half, This is a chance to one up Fla and show what they can do. The OL for Alabama is strong and the DB"S are just as quick.BAMA Rolls...

I took Alabama -15.5 (-105). I just can't think of any reasonable way Kentucky hangs with them; I agree with others that have said Bama may be the best team in the country.

    woah, onions. i like it.

any thoughts on under 49? i'm thinking i like under with Saban as large road fave. Bama in the 20s, KY in the teens. Hightower injury has zero impact with Bama's depth. i think under is easier to cap than ATS in this one. Bama gets 28; does KY get 17 or 10?

I like the Under as well but I love UK to cover +17... I think this game will be very close for 3 quarters. If the ball bounces the right way UK might pull this one out

for the sake of that 300/1500 ticket and the opportunity to watch that upset, i'll gladly root for the cats [assuming, of course, the under comes in].

unfortunately, for now, i have to go and figure out how Utah St managed to fail to cover +13.5 1H when they were down 7 with the ball with under a minute left. mormon magic underwear shenanigans, i'm sure.

RU kidding me??? Utah St was up 7 when BYU scored to tie it up. How in the hell did they get 14 more points

We'll get them back with the Under tomorrow.

don't believe kentucky has a chance to win this game, but they may stay within the number.saban will not let his guys get comfortable all season as he will pump it in their heads each week the importance of taking no one for granted.its tough to win big on the road in the sec let alone win outright, but this bama team is on a mission this season and will be focused every week

saw in another thread that aggies were victims of questionable playcalling at end of 1H. dunno about that but they were clearly guilty of bad ball security. down 7 on road to top 25 team with ball under 1:00 and go in down 14, then butterfingers. inexcusable. when i'm gambling on west virginia, please tell me that i'm backing west virginia.

only upside is that instead of throwing 3 units on Utah St +24', went 3 on Pitt and 2 on Utah St 1H. trying not to be aligned with B Lang results in too much math...

They were at their own 30 yard line with less than a minute to go and decided it would be a good idea to run the ball. Basically no chance to get any score of their own and risk the fumble. They should have just kneeled.

uugh. thanks for clarification. who wouldn't chance the control of the game upon the ability of a running back to break a 70-yard run against a team that held Oklahoma to 1 TD?

Kentucky was in good shape in the first half with the game 7-6 and with about 2 mins left in the half the doors blew of the Wildcats. Unreal, how they made so many mistakes so quickly.

    True

But, Bama could have named the score in the 4th

We can fight this all night. But Bama is exsposed for what it lacks and everyone in the SEC Takes notice

I agree Romoney. Teams will use this as a blueprint against them BUT Bama is more of a pro set team and they just pound and pound teams on the ground with a stable of backs and it eventually wear teams down. They don't really need a lights out QB. They just need one that can manage the game. Their defense will win most games for them if they don't make mistakes and capitalize on their opponents mistakes ala UK.

I did notice some kinks in their secondary as well though. That may be something to watch further.

yeah u right, If Ingram and the other guy can carry the load they should be fine, I just dont like Bama so maybe Im biased a bit. I think they will lose to two SEC teams this yr. But I dont see them runnin the table

Ala did not score in the 4th today because they did not need to. Look at Ark today & Vir Tech since Ala beat both handily if you want to judge Bama.

Ol Miss may beat Bama, I doubt it

Oh Bama is legit no doubt. Definitely one of the best teams in CFB. I don't think Ole Miss will beat Bama. Bama is a better version of USCe. I think Bama rolls next week mainly because Ole Miss is too one dimensional on offense. Bama is going to shut them down easily.

Romoney - The jury is still out on McElroy. He passed today but we shall see in the next few weeks. I don't see them losing more than 2 games. Maybe 1 regular season and the SECCG but that may be a stretch. They should go undefeated until the SECCG.

Va Tech, BTW, gave Bama a battle. That game was closer than the score.
