hey not trying to flame or start any shit, but i've noticed A LOT of people coming in pags thread (well into last year) posting their games asking for advice or merely just poppin in posting who they have.

guys why not create your own thread?

Notre Dame line really shocked me when I saw it. Washington did beat Usc and lost to a pretty decent Stanford team. I'm interested in your right up on Vandy as I initially leaned toward Ole Miss in that one.

    Good luck this week.

Pags, I love that Washington play. They already look to be the spoiler team of the year, stepping up to cover spreads against big opponents and then losing the next week against some Pac-10 scrub team. Not so sure about you taking my Bears though. Despite what America may think, we're a weaker team this year than last. Our linebacking core will have a lot of problems with McKnight and while I'll be there cheering my heart out for my Bears, I don't see this being a close game. I sure as hell hope your pick hits though!

    KingJIM,

    tbill11,

you are still in shock most likely about yesterday's loss...have faith, your Bears will give a maximum effort on Saturday...

    jsmith,

I believe you asked me a variation of this question last week...I have a method to how I have capped games that has worked for me for many years...some guys play early, some guys play late...it has worked for me is the simple answer...the more complex answer is I like to try and be ahead of the line moves as the closer you get to game time the more picked apart the lines become...I don't like to be talked into plays is another reason I play early...I also pay close attention to the injury wire 24 hours after all of the games to try to stay ahead that way...

pags - Good to c u on the positive side on Sat. I was a pretty comfortable winner in that Fresno game ( +17) but I was really pulling for no more by Cincy because I know you were sweating it at 14 1/2.

Observation with no hard data to back it up but - as we get to this point in the season, it becomes harder and harder for unbeaten teams to stay that way. Don't know why but just think that it's the case. So I like your lean toward MSU and if you agree with my hypothesis I would think you would prefer Stanford vs UCLA.

Last week 6 instances come to mind ( other than any clear mismatches) and only TCU came away a winner. Miami, Carolina, Ole Miss, Pitt, and Cal all lost.

    Good luck in Week 5.

Play number 3 I'll be on right there. UCLA is good money whenever they are getting points. We seem to be on the same wavelength this week -- that may not be so good for you, Pags . . . lol
