Cincy is due for a letdown and Pat Hill's "anyone, anytime, anywhere" coaching approach assures us that Fresno will play hard. Cincy 35-27

RUTGERS -1.5 @ Maryland (1.5 units)
Both teams started slow, but Rutgers will end up with a winning season, whereas MD apparently just sucks. Rutgers 34-14

TEXAS A&M -14 vs UAB (1.5 units)
(see last weeks A&M write-up, and just replace Utah St. with UAB) A&M 44-20

SO. MISS +14 @ Kansas (2 units)
USM's narrow escape vs. UVa LW gives us serious line value. They were clearly looking ahead and should be able to hang close with KU and may even pull an upset. Remember Houston/Okla St.? USM 35-31

PENN ST. -9.5 vs. Iowa (1.5 units)
PSU's so-so performance vs. weak competition gives us tons of line value. Plus, revenge angle may play a factor after LYs comeback win for Iowa. Penn St. plays their first complete game of the year. Penn St. 27-7

NOTRE DAME -7 @ Purdue (1 unit)
One of these days I'll pick a ND game correctly. ND 45-35

Early ranking doesn't mean a thing bro. I think the the guys on this board knows more about football than those sports writer. Last night I like Miss offense, but I worried about SC defense. SC defense played one hell of a game. I'm Mizzou tonight. Unless it's a trap, Mizzou should have no problem covering the spread. Good luck bro.

You're right on on how meaningless the rankings are. The coaches poll is a joke because most of the coaches don't know anything about half the teams. The AP poll is a joke because most sportswriters are idiots. News media died a long time ago, and sports journalism didn't last much longer. We need an official Fan Poll. Would be just as accurate. Congrats on Mizzou. I lost lots of $$ betting on mizzou too often last year, so I've been more hesitant this year.

Yeah, and currently the only one that I am winning is Iowa...Purdue looked good early but Irish seem in control now...and Army still has a shot at a cover but are down by 14...hoping for a backdoor there. It's been a tough day so far.
