South Carolina +3 vs. Ole Miss
At the beginning of the football season I circled a lot of potential upset games. Well this is one of the games I had circled on my board. The reasoning is simple, I think South Carolina matches up very well on the defensive side of the ball with Ole Miss. If someone ask me who have the best defense in the SEC East I will clearly tell them South Carolina. This defense is fast and nasty. They play with an attacking style that is very hard to move the ball on. The next big question is Sneed. Before the season I personally felt that Sneed is the best pro style QB in the SEC, but is he really the real deal. Was last year a fluke ? No one have yet to figure that out. Entering the 4th quarter against Memphis a conference USA DEFENSE Sneed was 9 for 18, 0 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions, and atleast one pass that bounced out of a DB'S hand that could have been 3 INT'S.He finished the game 12 for 22 with 175 yards passing and 2 INT'S. Also last year he was a sub 60% passer in the SEC. He had a tendacy to try to force passes that were not there and he started the season doing it again. But the question is can Sneed do that in the SEC on the road and get away with it ?? I dont think so. This will be a tough game for Ole Miss, because I know South Carolina will put a lot of pressure on Sneed and make him throw it under a lot of pressure. It's tough to win on the road in the SEC and I believe South Carolina has all the marbles in there hand to win this game. I'll take the team who beat Ole Miss last year in there backyard to do it again this year with the home crowd on there side.

Arkansas +15.5 vs. Alabama
Many people may ask me why is you playing Arkansas against Alabama ? It's simple I think Alabama has a weakness in there defense, and it's pass defense. The reason I'm saying this is because I know Saban defense like the back of my hand. His defense is always suspect to the pass simply because he sends the blitz and leaves his corners on a island. Arkansas will spread them out and hit them with the quick slants when they send them. I personally think this game will be a shootout. Some people may tend to disagree but I do think so. Arkansas will spread Bama defense out and if Bama decides to play risky defense I expect Mallet to expose it. When Saban was at LSU if there were 1 thing I hated in his defense is we were all always giving up big plays do to the risky defense we were playing. Also guys I have made so much money in the past when it comes to SEC west games laying double digit spreads. I feel as if you just have to know when to do it. I'll be taking the points in this Bama game.

LSU -13 vs. Mississippi State
This will be the 1st road game for LSU in the SEC, and I hardly ever lay double digit spreads on the road in the SEC, but I have to in this case. Guys if you haven't heard Mississippi St. is horrible. I don't know how in the hell did they beat Vandy but I guess every dog has it's day. I think Mullen will do a great job at State but he simply does'nt have the players to run that spread he wants to run. These are Croom players and Croom recruited for a power I and pro set offense. I remember in the offseason Dan Mullen asked one of the radio anouncers in Baton Rouge did he want to play reciever ? I thought he was joking but when I seen them against Jackson St. I thought to myself he was'nt lying. One thing I like about my Tigers is I'm seing improvement every week. I've seen improvement in the defense every week from the Washington game. It's hard for our defense to adjust to a whole new style LSU is not use to playing. We were an agressive blitzing style defense and now we are more of a zone scheme style defense. This is a hard adjustment but they are showing improvement every week. Since the Washington game they only allowed 12 points which is very good. I dont see Mississippi St. scoring over 14 points in this game. As for LSU offense they are struggling with the long ball. Believe it or not this team is still struggling with the Perriloux situation. The reason is because these QB'S we have were'nt suppose to see the field until there junior and senior years. That's how dominant programs work. Whenever you have a freshman or sophmore forced to play that means your offense most likely will take a couple of steps back. But with every game Jefferson is getting better and he's finding his targets. He is just having problems completing the long ball. But I think all that comes as the season progress. Take the Tigers -13!!

Only thing that scares me about the under is that these teams have been rolling offensively. USC even put up 37 against Georgia.

Right now 58% of the public is on Arkansas..but the spread has increased from 15pts to 17pts. If i was taking Arkansas, that would worry me a little.
I'm placing a little on Bama b/c I think the spread is really high and the public is jumping on the pts. Vegas doesn't give away cash..they're actually increasing the line so more people take Arkansas!
I do like SC though. Small money too.

Well Angel the game still has to be played and Bama is not that great at covering double digit spreads in the SEC. Vegas is in fact inflating this line to much.
