Default Arizona St @ UGA -12

Line seems a little high...UGA has trouble putting teams away. Really curious to see the over/under too.

    thoughts?

I thought it looked a little high also...GA did beat e'm in Arz 27-10 last year....but that was a different ga team.

Over under 54. At the rate UGA has been playing, that will be over by halftime

The Over looks like money. I think UGA will cover but the over is probably safer. Their defense has been getting gashed of late. They can't stop traffic in rush hour.

Is Rudy Carpenter still the QB at ASU? Im too lazy to look it up, if not who took over?

I expect to see a flat GA team this week playing down to Arizona St. Its the Bulldawg way.
2 huge emotionally draining games in 2 weeks may play a factor IMO.

I havent looked into ASU but from what I've read they suck.
which means GA will make it a close game

I'm liking Georgia -11.5 and possibly the under. I think Georgia's defense with smother Arizona State and once they get ahead by two TDs they won't throw as much, not like they had to against Arkansas. Just looking at the schedule, this is the easiest game Georgia has all year.

Georgia went to ASU for gameday last year right?

dont remember about gameday but yes they traveled to Arizona last year.

It was the ABC Primetime game last year, but I don't think gameday went there because ASU lost a clunker to UNLV the week before

Last year it was Georgia -7 and Georgia beat ASU 27-10, and it wasn't really that close. Which also has me thinking about the under.

    last year means nothing,
    last week means nothing,
    2 weeks ago means nothing.

I know as a life long Dawg fan I wont be laying more than 10. and I doubt the line moves to 10 before kickoff.
Historically GA has a way of making what should be blowouts into close games and vice vesus.

I agree Mike. Richt seems to be so damn conservative at times and then the team seems to make bonehead mistakes that takes points off the board. I'm still trying to figure out why they would stop running the ball at Okie State. They come out like gang busters then stop doing what was working. I think it's time for Richt to hit the road. He's like Jim Tressel. More conservative then a Mormon.

Not Richt, but his assistants. Mike Bobo and Willie Martinez call the plays...or at least try to. You would be surprised at the amount of fans who are anti-Richt...but it will take a Phillip Fullmer type collapse to run him out of town.

I agree with you. Everyone keeps talking about last yr or 2 weeks ago. Everything changes, teh way they practice, everything changes, Any given day a team can win.

yep , winning 10, 11 games every year just doesnt cut it.
Richt is going nowhere, he's the best thing since Dooley to set foot in Athens.
His assisants are another story as DaneBlazer pointed out.
Who the hell would UGA bring in in place of Richt anyway

Gameday was suppose to come here to ASU last year but ASU lost in OT the week before to UNLV, which killed all they hype.

If the kicker, Weber, for ASU can't play again this week they might be in trouble. Sullivan is the QB this year and has only threw 1 TD against two crappy teams. Defense is stellar but look who they played.

Honestly, we don't know ANYTHING about ASU yet. Idaho State. Bye. Louisiana-Monroe.

What we knew before the season started (and has so far been confirmed against scrubs) is that this team has a great defense. The defensive line is fantastic, the LB core is rock-solid, and the secondary is fast and smart.

Offensively, we have NO IDEA. Will the offensive line hold up against an SEC D-Line? Can Danny Sullivan play in a hostile road environment? Can the Devils establish any sort of running game whatsoever?

Georgia's defense has been terrible to this point, but ASU's offense might be the worst they've faced; we honestly don't know because we haven't seen them play anyone of substance yet. Georgia is substantially more battle-tested to this point of the season and is at home, making the spread easy to rationalize.

Personally, I think ASU's defense is going to do a decent job slowing Georgia's offense down. Not shutting it down, of course, but I'm thinking more like high-20's low 30's than the 40+ Georgia has put up in it's last two. For this reason, if I had to take a side, it would be ASU and the points.

Just my two cents... good luck to both sides!

UGA sucks... Lot's of talent but poor coaching, bad mistakes, most penalized team in the league. They are the Va Tech of football. Good but not elite good.
