I don't think you play big lines, from what I gather the last few weeks. However, the KU line vs. Duke opens at -19. At first glance, looks good.

Big weekend....
Getting excited to get into the meat of the season here and a better and better feel not only for these teams, but these coaches.
Not sure about you Pags, but I felt like I put too much money on very questionable/unproven coaches this weekend, and it certainly cost me.

I agree that there is a huge talent gap between Kentucky and Louisville, but I'm not interested in laying those types of points in an interstate rivalry game...

yeah, I typically don't play big favorites...I do think Kansas is a legit team this year but Duke should be tough enough for 3 quarters to make the game close to the spread and thus can't lay or take the points in that game...

yeah I agree that I did the same thing...Paul Rhoads coached a terrible game for ISU, not that it would have mattered because they played like crap...I also bet on some bad quarterbacks which I don't usually do...am going to try and stick with the six major BCS conferences, which are conferences I did well with last year (as opposed to the 2 WAC and 2 CUSA teams I played on last weekend, not a good move on my part)...like you said, it's about learning (usually we learn more when we lose $ right?) and trying to move forward...GL bud...

Pags, it really made me laugh my ass off when people acted like they were FORCED to tail your picks... 
I don't care if you are actually good or not (I know you are), but dang, thanks for STILL sharing your picks after ALL these haters...
Well, as the season goes on, we all have a much better idea of who is good who is not (I meant the teams). (thinking about riding Florida for the rest of the season, thoughts?), so I have confidence that you will bounce back big. Good luck in week three!

Ironically 4 of the first 5 games you're already on have been listed in my winner take all type college football points contest in the SBR Points forum. The lone exception is Tulsa, and that only because I tried to find good games with a spread of eight or less. On UCONN, the QB AND TE will be out the next two weeks. Frazer's knee won't require surgery but it does need rest. Same with the TEs back. NCAA is killing me but it's more rookie betting mistakes than anything. Fortunately, I correct them for a great day in the NFL. Threads like this and many others around here have been very informative and, most importantly, very grounding. I'm done trying to make $10k with every bet. |

Pags just not sure why the side is a better play then the total. Va Tech @ home are very tough. Under is 13-4 in Hokies last 17 home games.

I like this play as its a game i was looking at yesterday.
Underdog is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 meetings.
Eagles are 12-3 ATS in their last 15 games as a road underdog.
Tigers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games as a home favorite of 3.5-10.0.
Scores of last 4 meetings between these two teams have all been decided by 6 points or less.

Actually really liking Baylor in that game! Baylor looks much improved from last yr, under their new coach. Things are starting to click, its the 2nd yr under the head coach and things look to be coming together!
