Being a big 12 fan, Colorado just looked horrible last weekend against Colorado St. They should have been blown out by Colorado St if they could have converted on a couple more of the possessions they had. Now, Hawkins is under the gun and they need to win this game otherwise he will probably be under more heat with a chance to be fired at the end of the season. Also his kid shouldn't be starting and has been choking lately.

Came looking for a thread that talked about the OVER in this game because I really like it. Colorado was held in check offensively because of an interstate rivalry. Those teams know each other in and out. Now Colorado is playing Toledo, a team that loves to go up and down the field. Hawkins will have much more time to throw this week. Toledo is always going to score points and Colorado will put up there's this week as well. I expect a huge scoring affair. I will lay off the side because of the unknown of these two teams playing one another for the first time.

Toledo threw the ball 1000 times last week vs Purdue, there is not going to be any pressure on Cody, which will let him pass the ball as well. I think you have to take the over, Toledo showed their D is suspect. They should sling it all over the field...

I picked Colorado -4 in my other thread with my plays. Colorado in a must win situation and is going out for revenge on national television after that embarassing loss to CSU.

Colorado is coming off a very short week (played Sunday night). They lost a big rivalry game AT HOME and now have to prepare for a tough Toledo home-field advantage.

Toledo is 2-0 SU and ATS against Big 12 teams (Kansas '06, Iowa St. '07) and is 8-3 ATS as a home underdog. They are also 15-5 ATS after a road loss.

Colorado has a ton at stake but I don't think they can be mentally prepared for this game travelling 2 time zones (they lose 2 more hours) and on a short week. They are also 5-7 ATS against non-conference opponents the last 3 years.

This forum and the public are heavy on Colorado so, again, another sign to go Toledo and the points

Toledo showed they can move the ball agaisnt a big time school last week, on the other hand they were down 21-0 nothing and had no choice but to pass the ball.

I don't know what to think. I think I am going to be on CU. Their defense looked a lot better in the second half last week than the first. Toledo's defense never looked good at any point. That is my basis. That and at some point the talent level has to show. Yes Cody Hawkins sucks but as a whole CU just has more talent.

Not a chance.

Every time I hear a team is going to win because it is a "must win game for them" I just shake my head. Teams constantly lose must win games. You really think Colorado is going to be more fired up this week than they were to kick off the season at home against an in-state rival? Logic fail.
