All the Momentum In The World to Roll Over Tulane

    BYU @ Tulane
    The Pick: BYU -17.5

BYU intends on creating some problems this year for the BCS teams, they showed us that last week against OU. Now, Many speculate that OU lost because of Bradford's absence, but I'd like to differ. Consider this; OU is a big twelve power pass offense, with many returning veteran defense players. They should have been way ahead of BYU by the first quarter, but they were committed to a strong and solid defense that only allowed only one touchdown the entire game. Nobody is striving about OU's defense but, C'ome on, a big twelve school committed to only one touchdown? Even if Bradford would have stayed in the game, there is no guarantee that the Sooners would have won, perhaps at best it would have been, BYU 17, OU 16 if there was an upset, and even if there wasn't an upset and it was OU 21, BYU 17 the pick for this game would be the same. Big twelve shotgun offense's score points, an when you're able to shut them down, you're definitely going to be able to shut down school's like Tulane, that got fondled by Tulsa. Now I know what you may be thinking, Tulsa had the highest scoring offense last year, but my dear friend, this is not last year. In Fact Tulsa has had quite the line up change, in personnel, and in players. After watching that complete game I understood that the reason Tulane got killed was because they were unable to regulate to the quick pace, no huddle offense that Tulsa offered. After watching the upset in Arlington last week I also realized that in this game BYU could easily blank Tulane. BYU will take their time with the football, and control the clock, but they also won't be afraid to pass it. They know they made a statement last week, and the momentum is all theirs, and don't you for a second expect that to change this week. BYU will have the spread by halftime. Take this one to the bank.

I agree with BYU play in this game. Not to the degree that I made it a play though. Like you I watched the game last week and while Oklahoma certainly didn't perform to the level they should have or were expected too the biggest difference in the game was the fact BYU was hell bent on not getting bullied.

Granted it was a huge game and even though you would expect a team to approach every game the same this doesn't always happen. BYU most deffinately approached that game with a defenssive gameplan and that coupled with a ho-hum effort out of Oklahoma lead to the end result.

BYU certainly is the better team and absolutely should be able to cover this line. Wish you luck with your play and will probably wish later that I had put my money in the same spot.

Ohio State To Plead No Contest To USC

    USC @ Ohio St
    The Pick: USC -5

Don't allow the media to convince you this is going to be anything close to a contest, so what if it is in Ohio? Navy was in Ohio, and almost pulled the upset. Ohio just looked terrible, out of sync, and offensively unprepared, to assume that those problems will be fixed in one week is to say almost the impossible. USC has won 6 straight over the Buckeyes since Ohio State won the 1973 Rose Bowl, and not to mention, USC didn't really have any problems against San Jose St. All teams in week one are a little bit more rusty as far as offense is concerned. Here's why USC is the better football team, and will win this team. Pac 10 vs Big 10. Big ten is a big slow offensive team, they do short runs, and try to obtain clock control through this method, running a offensive that is medicore, but trying to dominate in yards on the defensive side of the ball. USC knows this, and they will not be held to feild goals in this game. USC, while in the absence of Mark Sanchez will push Matt Barkley to success, its about effective coaching, and that is something that Pete Carrol definitely will be able to do. Pete Carroll's won seven straight road openers against non conference teams -- with four different quarterbacks. This is the program that will go anywhere in September and play anyone -- and win big. The experience level of the quarterback has varied considerably, but the result never does. Also another little thought for your health Ohio State is 1-6 ATS in its last 7 games at home. Not so comforting for the Buckeyes huh? Look for the Trojans to take this one, easily.

    The Upset Bulldogs

    Fresno State @ Wisconsin
    The Pick: Fresno State +9

This game was a learning experiance for Fresno St. What is the lesson you ask? Well, the lesson is typically speaking when you miss three field goals you lose the game. Trust that it won't happen this year. Fresno St. is a competitive team, I really even think it would be worth taking the upset here at +300, but just to be safe I will say take the 9 points. Wisconsin definitely will not cover this spread. Last year's contest resulted in a 10-13 loss to Wisconsin but trust that Fresno if anyone, has remembered that heartbreak, when you see an old girlfriend of yours that was out ****ing other dudes while you were at work, that's the first thing that comes to your mind right? well it's just like that here. Wisconsin got lucky, and Fresno St. endured a heartbreak in a game they should have won because they lost the game for themselves. In terms of motivation, and on the tail end of the OU upset the mind set is that anything could happen. For the players at Fresno, they could be next week's "BYU". The Motivation is there, and team's strength is there. Look for this one to be a close game, in which the bulldogs could very possibly take it.

Oh and as far as the Colorado game tonight, I think Colorado takes it, but I cant guarantee the spread, you know how Thursday games are... short practice weeks, not enough time to prepare. but Toledo is terrible
