I got Vandy +14.5 just this morning. What a great line! Lines like this help me love college football betting more than NFL betting.

U have to be realistic here...LSU @ home in Sec play 1st game...I don't care how down you think LSU is..That is scarry. Not to mention last week was furthest LSU has ever traveled to play a game. I hate LSU, but noone can convince me Vandy will win outright, that's pretty dumb. As for the cover, I feel last week LSU was a bit shell shocked and got punched in the mouth pretty quickly. This is NOT going to happen at home. They played extremely conservative to boot...I think LSU wins and covers. As a parenial powerhouse at home, against a non-facto SEC team...all point to LSU with the cover

All the advice I can give regarding LSU is to be careful. LSU played it very close to the vest and conservative. One of the main reasons is that you spend as much time in the film room preparing for an opponent as you do on the field. You watch every situation to include down and distance and location and learn as much as you can. With a new coach you have NOTHING to review. No film. No scouting report. No nothing. USC offense had different personnal and other influences, so you cant watch any of their film. They played it very vanilla and hoped they had the athletes to make the plays, which they did. Russell Shepherd did not see the field against Washington but will tonite. I am willing to give LSU a pass last Saturday but before I pass judgement, I want to watch this game tonite. So before you bet the house on Vandy, I am just asking you to be careful. This LSU team is athletic as hell and when they can get a game plan, they will be tough. I wish everyone the bol but wanted to add my 2 cents.

Well LSU up at half 13-7 , but I like the way Vandy's D has played. This is certainly the toughest of any game I have played so far this College Football Year. Going to be gone the rest of the night, But Vandy covers 1st half. GO VANDY. Back Monday hopefully with some more good plays.

For those who didn't watch, Vandy was down 16-7 with the ball in the fourth quarter. LSU still has yet to impress in my book. The offense flat out STRUGGLED against an average Vandy defense. Flipping back and forth between UGA/USC and this game, I was much more impressed by BOTH teams playing between the hedges. Vandy had three backs who ran all over the Tigers and this game was DEFINITELY within reach for the Commodores.

Hopefully for LSU fans, this team has a habit of playing to the level of its competition. I still stick to my guns that this Tigers squad is a middle-of-the-pack SEC team.

Sean thankful to the sloppy weather your bookie would have taken that money. LSU dominated that game in all angles. They were in the red zone 6 times. Thats not good handicapping to me, because you knew nothing about the weather. It was rainining the whole game. If it was'nt for the rain it would have been a blow out.

Wait, wait -- lemme get this straight. My WIN was bad handicapping because I didn't say anything about the rain? It doesn't matter if it's sunny, rainy, snowy, or windy, LSU is just not that good.

First it was the playbook. Then it was the distance of the road game. Now it's the weather. You can take any excuse you want... I'll just take the money.

Vandy only scored 1 touchdown but dominated the game

And the safety came from the snap over the punters head

C'mon man your hate for LSU is to obvious.

Also Sean your handicapping on this game was pure luck based on the faact that LSU made it in the red zone 6 times but failed to punch it in the endzone. If they would have converted at least half of those touchdowns it would have been a 40 to 9 type game. But off of pure LUCK the offense would get staggord by the endzone. Dont expect that every week from this offense.

But you can thank the rain for the slow offense. And yes it's a fact that rain slows a offense down. I dont know how long you been gambling but rain can make the outcome very interesting. Plain and simple Vandy was dominated in this game it just did'nt reflect in the score what the true domination was. 23 to 9 I'll take it but it could have easily been 40 to 9.

LSU is so insignificant to me it's not even funny. Unlike you, I can shed my interests as a fan when making bets. But hey, you keep making excuses and telling us otherwise. Hopefully guys like you will keep driving LSU's inflated pointspreads so that I can take advantage all season.

It is going to be fun watching LSU underachieve this year, just like last year. If they were 1/10 as good as ZBOIZ said they were they will be in the championship. This dude has fluffed them into the championship.

I dont see them scoring only one touch down in death valley a knock on them. If you guys held them to only one touchdown it should have been a HUGE blowout. Your offense is just NOT that good. I bought your washington only 17 pass attempts not trying too hard excuse. But come on, this is hardly the high powered offense they were.

LSU has looked average at best in both wins. We'll see how good they are when they play my Gators. I suspect a blowout to be honest with you. LSU's red zone offense is horrendous and I'm not impressed with the secondary.

Your gators dont look to impressive as I can recall. 200 YARDS in the 1st half to Charleston Southern ???? C'mon man..

    Atleast we playing BCS teams

And as far as coming to Baton Rouge and blowing somebody out I highly doubt that..

If he dont have to show what he have he wont. He's totally the opposite of Urban Meyer. Meyer will call all his plays against a lower level team. Not Miles, he's a coach that will just run the ball if he can on a lower level school.

Yo, You are in college (LSU) and this is how you perform grammatically?
    "...through the ball 17 times!"
    "...there offense just yet."
    "...at what hedo."
    "If he don't have..."

Im gonna hammer the gators when they go to baton rouge. I hope its under ten because tebow will score at will on these guys. They made Jake Locker look like Joe Montana.

I said LSU didn't cover because of there on mistakes. They were in the red zone 6 times in this game and came out with just field goals . If anyone had Vandy + the points you should be relieved that Vandy covered with all those missed oppurtunities. Vanderbilt offense was completely shut down the whole game. But LSU offense just did'nt produce in the red zone.

Lets say LSU would have scored a touchdown everytime in the redzone it would have been a 42-9 score, but they did'nt execute in the red zone.

But I like what I saw in game 2, which was improvement. In the game against Washington the defense did'nt show up but they came to play in game 2. But in game 2 the offense did'nt produce in the red zone. That was the only problem I saw in this game. But when we play the likes of Florida and Alabama we have to get in that end zone atleast 5 of the 6 times that we were in the red zone.

Ralphie Locker is a great QB. You are getting to caught up in that uniform he wears. Just because he's on a Washington team that don't mean the kid has no skills. They guy is by far the best QB in the Pac 10.

JMUplayer, excuse are excuses. But anyone who knows football and played football in there lifetime knows rain makes a huge difference in a outcome of a game. Rain can make a final score 12-6, or 13-7, or 21 -8. But if it was dry it could have been a more offensive game. Rain causes a offense that pass the ball majority of the time to run more often than average. So yes the rain did make a difference in this game.

Also Florida has a lot of problems that people REFUSE to think or talk about. Why is that ? Is it because they are the defending national champs? Why people act like this team cant be beat ? They let a Charleston Southern team put over 200 yards on them in the 1st half. I wonder what Locker would have done that Florida defense in Seattle. I think he would have been a Montana that night also. Florida is also weak at the WR position. They lost Harvin and Murphy and it shows big time. They will be exposed later in the season. Every team has flaws, and Florida is no exception.

Well 3-0 in plays posted here at the SBR. Cant win ALL the games by 25 + points I guess.

Only 2 of the 3 plays posted here have won by 25 or more points. Oh well, the close games are more fun anyway.

I wasnt aware of the weather situation, but my play was posted 5 days before game time. Admit LSU won by more points than I expected, but they didnt cover and thats all that matters. That extra point to 15 matters a lot in college football, so while Vandy only covered by 1, it was a big 1 as 15 requires LSU to cover by 2 TD's + another score.

Agree that LSU's Defense was good, but the original Analysis wasnt really concentrating on Vandy scoring a lot, but rather on Vandy's strong Defense.

Vandy's defense held LSU to 23 and even scored 2 points itself ( Those 2 points were the difference ). Vandy's D did quite better than the guy who said LSU would "drop 40 on them" and "score at will". That sure didnt happen. We can certainly say Vandy only scored 1 TD, but when you are the team who is + 15 its not really on you to score big.

Its also true that LSU only scored 23, and you arent gonna cover 15 too often when you only score 23.

    Good Job Vandy winner 3-0.

The Commodores also played without their 2nd leading Tackler defensive end Steve Stone. Maybe if he wasnt injured, they hold LSU to 17. So what, there will always be woulda's, shouldas, and coulda's.

If it was raining and that hurt LSU so bad, then that is just another reason not to lay 15 points. The rain simply means that LSU -15 was all the worse of a play.
