Houston + 15 NCAAF
Oh my, right here we have another golden underdog. Oklahoma State will not win this game by 15 points.
Houston's offense is very possibly the best offense in the nation. They bring back all the key players from an offense that shredded every team they played last year. They bring back USA today player of the year QB Keenum, They bring back 7 on the O Line that protected him all year. They bring back their stud RB Beall.
This Offense scored 37 at Ok State last year, it scored 41 + points in 8 out of its 11 games. Houston was the highest scoring team against half its opponents last year. In fact, Houston scored 70 in a 40 point win over a very good Tulsa team, noone else scored more than half that against Tulsa all year.
Air Force held 5 opponents to 10 points or less last year, but Houston scored big on Air Force in both of their games. Including scoring 34 points to win the Air Force bowl. Houston scored in every game, their lowest output all season was 23. This offense is explosive.
Now, Oklahoma State. For some reason, everyone seems to be on this teams jock. In researching this game, I came across the oobg.com, who has said Ok. State will be 11-0 when they play against Oklahoma. All I can say about this team is O V E R R A T E D.
Lets see, Ok state started last year 7-0, but when you dissect that, they didnt really beat anyone during that strecth. The most impressive victroy was a 5 point win against Missouri. Thats a decent win, but Its not that impressive. Then came the Big 12 schedule, and no longer was Ok State playing a cupcake every week. What happened ? Ok. State was a Major disappointment. In fact, it fell apart.
When the schedule got tough, Ok State finished the season 2-4, winning during that stretch against 2 piss ass teams. Ok State lost every real test they had last year. And their defense ? It got exposed every time it played a two dimensional offense. They lost 3 of their last 4 games, and in those 3 losses, they gave up 159 points and lost by an average of 23 points per game.
Oklahome State to me, has been EXPOSED. This team will do great against weak opponents and 1 dimensional offenses like Georgia, but every time they play a strong offense, they get shredded. Houston will have a pretty easy time scoring against the Cowboys.
Houston has been preparing for this game since they started practicing again last month, the Houston coaches have been preparing for Months. Ok. State begins preparing for Houston today.
This is a major letdown game for Oklahoma State. They beat a IMO highly suspect Georgia team, and most would probably think Houston is an easy win. I promise, it wont be. Houston matches up way way way better against Ok. State than Georgia did. Houston has an amazing Offense, 2 dimensional. Strong running game and strong passing game. Ok. State has shown a definite inability to shut this type of offense down. Georgia on the other hand, plays strong defense, looks for turnovers and tries to win on Defense not offense. I cant count how many times I remember Georgia scoring 17 or less.
This is an entirely different game. Houston will score early and often. And right here we have another 15 point favorite, that will be hard pressed to win this game at all. They probably will, but they wont win by 15.
Any Thoughts ?

Yeah it should be crazy high scoring. Opened at 66, already at 68 some places. It could easily close at 72 or 73. I dont play totals because there is just way too much unknown, but 66 sure looks too low. There could be 90-100 points scored in this game. IMO for Ok State to have any chance to cover this 15, there has to be at least 85 points scored because Houston is gonna get their 35-40, maybe even 45-50. But no matter how many points are scored, Ok State isnt going to beat this Cougars team by 15 points.

adam,
Gotta love this play. One of the best offenses in the nation getting 15 points. Ok State coming off a big game, short week to prepare for Houston. I doubt they even practiced until today with Day yesterday. Houston scored 41 in the 1st half against NWST last week, starters rested in the 2nd half. Houston have a free win last week. They have been preparing for OK State for some time now. Noone shut this offense down last year, and Ok State did not shut down 1 good offense all year last year. Even Missouri State got 13 on Ok State, and the worst offense in college football, Washington State got 13 on them. Ok State has given up almost 200 points in their last 5 games. Houston is gonna torch this Ok State Defense. Ok State also lost 1 senior Defensive starter. Their second leading tackler for the year.

Too Sharp For My Own Good

I have to agree completley. This has all the makings of a 38-31 type game. Oklahoma States defense played above their heads last week and got fortunate with a few Georgia turnovers. Oklahoma States offense was stalled for the most part by a solid Georgia defense. Houston's defense is good to give up 40. I'm thinking of playing both Houston +15 and Over 66.

Over, Over, Over and some more of the Over....
Teams have tendancy to play into the hands of Houston and try to hang with them offensively, I dont think you are going to see 12-15 play scoring drives....quick strikes all over the dam place...

i would obviously buy the point to 14 if i were to play OSU. They did handle houston with ease last year and there defense does seem improved. This most likely will be a no play for me since there are easily 10 games that are better than this but i would go over 1st and then OSU -14 GL to all though

They didnt handle Houston with ease last year. They trailed through a lot of the game and then padded the score.
Either way, I will take the +15 on a team that hasnt trailed all day long.

24-7 at halftime.
I posted this on the other board and so many people told me what a stupid retard fool idiot I was. They said Ok St would score 50-55 and win by 30.
None of them will even reply now.
Lol. I really want Houston to win this game outright.
24-7 Half.
GO COUGARS.
