This is looking like a good game to wager on.

GTech is at -5, and on other books it has dropped down to 4.5.

I have GTech winning this one at home...

However, I'm a relative rookie at this...

what do you guys think and why?

historically a close game.
but from what I've read Clemson's offense didnt look good the other day playing a cupcake team. They had either 2 or 3 scores from INTs and kick returns.
Everyone knows GTs offense is potent but they also had alot of TOs last game.

Just an opinion but I think Georgia Tech runs that option attack so well that this year the only teams in the ACC that will have enough playmakers on the defensive side to effectively shut it down are Miami and Florida State. Like Georgia Tech in this spot but as I said it's just an opinion as I don't plan on having any action on this game.

Clemson's DEs are better than those of Miami and FSU. Clemson shut Tech down last year and has a good shot at doing so again this year.

I wouldn't touch this game. Georgia Tech is the better team IMO but this is a matchup where both teams play each other close usually. Look at the last few years in the games they have played. All of them are close games or Clemson blowouts. The dog is 8-2 in the last 10 ATS. Be careful, gun to my head I take the points.

One thing to look at is Clemson has a short week to prepare to stop a unique offensive attack. You dont need playmakers to stop an option attack you need discipline players. I really think Ga-Tech will win but not positive if they will cover.

buy the hook get clemson +6 georgia tech wins but only by less than a touchdown.....clemson has too many starters back on defense to lay down......plus clemson has a great running game as well...will be close.

this game won't be close...GT will win by 2 TD's or more...Clemson had 2 days to prepare for this offense...with a Freshman QB, Clemson is doomed....stop Spiller and you will stop Clemson....the Clemson will get wore down in the 3rd and 4th Qtr's, then you will see big runs start to break loose (i.e. watch UGA vs GT in 2008). I got it when it was -4 and played a lot on it.....I really like this bet. Let me know if you have any questions....I play GT all the time and know a lot about them.

Actually, this will probably be a no-play for me, because I don't know either team well enough and I don't feel that this early in the season there is enough information out there to properly cap both teams (with my capping skills anyhow). However, I lean Clemson because I think they looked really good (for Clemson) last week against Middle Tennessee. And you don't even have to say it, I do realize that win is not anything special against a team like MT. However you could pretty much say the same (in my opinion) about GT's win over Jacksonville State. I believe that despite Clemson's QB being a freshman, he has a lot of potential. I base my opinion just off of statistics and a few articles I have read so far. Best of luck with whichever side you bet.

Also keep in mind that GT will be playing another Thursday game one week after this, in Miami. Clemson will be going home to play Boston College.

From what I heard, Clemson has been preparing for this game for quite some time. And, they werent showing that much last week against Middle TN St. Dont be surprised if we dont see back to back ACC ESPN games come down to the wire.

This game is always close I would jump the 5 points. I know I am going big on the Clemson Tigers!!! This is always a big game for both schools so I would imagine this would be a low scoring battle also. Now I have a one way opinion because I am a huge clemson fan but I will still take the points any day of the week. Just go check the last 5 games vs these 2.

as for the "total" dropping, I think 47 was just a preliminary total more than anything. it was a tester that some books put out, when the real number came out across the different places, 43 was the new number.
