Default I Want To Make A Public Apology To This Forum

I'm getting ready to end up 8-6 on the week and -8 UNITS + some juice after Colorado loses this game. That is absolutely pathetic. My money management was abysmal this week placing my heavier units on the wrong games and somehow being so far off on handicapping teams like Oklahoma, Colorado, UTEP, Syracuse and some others. I am absolutely embarassed. Of course, I hope some of these teams like Colorado, Oklahoma and Oregon are embarrassed themselves because their preparedness for their opening games have been an abortion of an effort.

    I am extremely sorry, guys . . . . .

No need to apologize Sooner... it's week one.

You are a class act and a great capper, the season is very, very young.

SoonerBS no need to apologize. This is only my second year to be on sbr but i have heard nothing but good things about you. I tailed a few of your picks and from the research i did they seemed VERY solid. Cant keep you down all year. Between you and Pags11, i just might shut my bookie down this year!!! thanks for all your insight!

I'll accept your apology for 5 points, but you should be ashamed of yourself for the embarrassment you brought to this forum you should be forced to forfeit all your points to me, I'll buy a pizza in your honor and stare at your avatar the entire time I'm eating it.

Hell Sooner don't feel bad. I went 2-5 on my own picks. I knew OU would struggle, but damn no one saw that coming.

This was a tough Week 1 for most people. You know your stuff, just do your thing because it's all uphill from here for guys like you and pags.

I went 3-3, down about a unit because of juice. But it is a long season, and a great week next week will make your week one a distant memory.

Sooner, most people had bad weeks...you and I were on the losing end of a lot of the same games...I had a great year last year and I expect to come back. I am sure you will do the same.

I thought Oklahoma's offensive line would be better, but I obviously gave them too much credit. Other than BYU playing a lot more competitively than I thought they would, (Pags said they would be) the mistakes that the offensive line made throughout the game just absolutely stymied the offense and never allowed them any sort of rhythm. We also have to find some receivers to throw to, Gresham being out really hurt us.

I hit for over 100 UNITS last season 3 games before the season was done. That was an above average year, but I guess I expected to do the same this season. I may still do it, but I have my work cut out for me.

BYU -17.5 at The Greek right now....expect it to hit at least -19 or -20. I may see if I can buy down (?) there. I initially thought about a letdown, but they are very well coached and I think they should keep the positive momentum.

Yeah, Sooner no worries just part of the game. One thing my daddy told me before leaving this cruel world, NEVER place any bets till after week 3. I typically follow that but the excitement of the upcoming season got me and I did pretty bad too just capping myself. Although you sure can't win if you don't play either. Better luck next weekend!!!

I'm in the same boat, Sooner. I think my personal opinions on tUSC, Notre Dame, and Auburn cost me $$ this week. It's so hard to be completely objective sometimes. Luckily, I didn't make huge bets like I did LY. It's all about discipline and money management. GL this year. If Bradford can't play, maybe my Tigers can finally beat your Sooners!

Your Tigers were very impressive in their win over Illinois Saturday. It appears that Zook cannot escape his history -- great recruiter, poor coach.

SoonerBS..grab an oar brother. I played 2 teasers this weekend. One was a bust when OKLA didn't play up to par. 2nd was I didn't feel (like yourself) the line on the Ole miss was correct. I little to high...or so I thought. I thought they would cover, but I didn't think Memphis would fold in the last 6 min of the game. We have many weeks of football left and more research to do. We will dig up the goods on the teams we like and find the one's to hit with. SoonerBS...I look forward to your insight in the coming weeks. Peace.... (That's a Blue Moon) we are enjoying after a profitable weekend.

    SoonerBS,

I don't think anyone expected you to go 11-0 and like you did week one of last year.

    SoonerBS....

I really don't think you have to apologize to anyone. This is all pure entertainment. I don't mean to offend you, but I don't think anyone had their mortgage or retirement money tied to your picks.

Have more fun with this stuff, and don't apologize for trying to hand out some winners.

    Thumbs up You'll be okay...

Sooner, it was a reminder of how college football is leveling out. Just a crazy weekend...maybe a sign of this season as a whole. Who knows? But, there is a lot of sentiment here, we all just have to be a little more careful, that's all. By the way, my weekend went 3-9-1. Just hope everyone treaded lightly like some did here. You'll be okay. Okla, Colo., and others going down as big favs just show us that there are some really nice numbers that will show up...we just gotta find them. It might be a weekend of small wagers again, just to see if some of these teams are for real, or just one weekend wonders. Lots of emotion on opening weekend. Know one thing, Vegas is smiling this today!! A lot of respected cappers here and in other forums took a hit this weekend. Shit happens. Thanks for the apology, shows you really care. But it wasn't necessary IMO. But again, thanks for it...shows me you really put a lot of effort into this. Pags said it...you'll be fine. It's a long season Sooner, and IT WILL shake out. Let's strap in and see what transpires. I am sure you'll be on the plus side soon.

No problem....we are victims of our own eagerness to cash tickets....probably better advised to play very small and just a few games the first couple weeks till the power of the teams shows itself on the field and the better cappers like yourself and pags will find the mismatches and capitalize on them. I am a USC former student and love the team just hard for me to lay that many points. The -6 looks afully low and maybe too good....but imho is probably a winner against Ohio State as Big Ten football has lost some of the strenght it used to have in previous years based on the bowl records would say is weaker conference and most games should be play against. Good luck and look for the mismatches...you will find them...JJ

Soonersb,no need to appoligize brother.. lets beat those sports books this week and leave them on bankruptcy!

So far I'll appreciate if you could include some comments on Air force + 4.5(MN coach sucks I'll never bet on that team again!), East Carolina +6(they're playing against West VA but EC seems to be an awesome team to bet in, I don't know what you say), Stanford +2.5 and Fresno st +8.5...

besides those I'm also looking at these games.. 386)Florida-36, 339)Notre Dame -4.5, Nebraska)-24, 361)KANSAS-11, 377) Oregon St -7, 366)Oklahoma st -15 and Penn St -28 (I think that Syracuse QB Palalus is a great QB but I think that Penn st will destroy them as they were unable to beat MN that is a team I consider really suck due to their head coach.. Do you see the TO call before a punt!! lol).. GL to you for this week..
