    Default VIA's week of 9/5

I didn't post much last season due to moving cross country, so I wasn't in the swing of things. Hopefully this season will be like 2007, where I had a decent string of picks. So far, Week 1 looks like this:

    Alabama/VT U38.5
    Oregon/Boise O64.5
    Navy/Ohio St O47
    Penn St -26.5
    Kentucky/Miami OH U47.5
    Rice +5.5
    Army/EMU U47
    Toledo/Purdue O50.5
    Buffalo +8
    SDSU/UCLA U52
    LSU -17.5
    Tennessee -29.5

    All 1.1u to win 1u.

Then I did some ML dogs based on probablities alone:
    Oregon +145
    BG +240
    Ohio +150
    Toledo +355
    VT +230
    Idaho +125
    Buffalo +275
    Tulane +475

Good to see you back man!

Like the fact that you're sniffing out some ML dogs........had been thinking a ML Dog thread this season could be interesting, just to keep discussions & all things ML Dog in one place for easy reference. Might start one once we get a better look at these guys.

Some thoughts on the Oregon/Boise over:

Oregon allowed 28 ppg last year, and only returns 4 defensive starters this season. Boise scored 37 on the road in Eugene last year, and they return Moore, Avery, and other playmakers. I could see 35+ again.

Oregon, as we know, is going to be fine on offense in any year Chip Kelly runs it. Boise only returns 5 defensive starters, and while they only allowed 12.6 points per game, it was against a pretty poor offensive schedule. If Oregon gets to 30, this game is going over. I'm calling a 40-34 Boise win, and money for us who bet the over.
