South Carolina and NC State UNDER 46

This will be my only play on Thursday night and the reason is pretty solid. South Carolina keeps a underrated very tough SEC defense. Last year this defense quietly was the #3 best pass defense in the nation, and also was great against the run. But this year this defense took a good loss in the secondary. But I feel confident in the guys that are going to start this year. At 6'2 Gilmore who is a big time sleeper this year at corner for South Carolina will get the start. This kid was great in the spring and showed a lot of promise. As a whole he stuck out but the secondary was solid. And the run game was the same tough South Carolina D. NC State on the other hand is going up against a South Carolina offense that actually never got acquainted to the style that Spurrier likes to run. And the reason is clear, he cant get the recruits he need on offense to run his style. They rather go to schools like Florida, and North Carolina. So this year there's a lot of questions about Garcia, can he be the QB that Spurrier needs ? NC State defense last year was'nt a bad unit last year themselves. They was pretty good against the run. With 3 lineman and 2 linebackers returning they should be even better. However, the best talent on the defensive side of the ball is at the linebacker spot where Nate Irving and Ray Michael return. Michael is a tackling machine and Irving will do plenty to help out the secondary. But with seven starters returning on defense will this make them better ?? I believe so!!

I'm looking at a 20 to 17 type victory.

Towards the end of the year they were people on the board saying that my record was false so I ended up erasing all documented records. I know my records were true and the people that tailed me from the beggining knew I was winning a lot. But people saw my record and was just thinking that no way I had a record like that and just start accusing me of not documenting my records. But this year I will use the spreadsheet.

Navy +22.5 vs Ohio St.

Ohio St. comes in this game with probably the most athletic QB in the nation in Pryor, but how good will Ohio St. offense be this year without Wells. Ohio St. had 7 players drafted in the first 5 rounds of the draft. That tells me that a lot of contributers are gone. But we all know Tressel has talent all over that team . They still should have a good secondary even though they loss Jenkins. But the middle of that defense will be the biggest question. They lost Laurinaitis, and Ross Homan is the only returning starter to the linebacker corps and the junior needs to become a leader right. The Buckeyes also lost there 2 key recievers on offense and you counter that with Wells gone means BIG QUESTIONS... But I do expect Tressel to run the ball and keep that clock rolling. On the other side of the ball Navy which runs the option attack will have this clock rolling. They will run the ball 80% of the time and pass 20 %. That means the clock will be a major factor. And when you have a 20 + spread it takes time to cover that if your not running a spread offense like Florida or Oklahoma. Last year Navy rushed for nearly 300 yards a game and that was 1st in the nation. But if you remember Ohio St. has a lot of questions in the middle of that defense, and that can be a spot were Navy will try to attack the option. With an experienced offensive line returning I do belive that Navy will put up enough points to compete in this game. But the main part of this cover will be long drives for Navy that will eat the clock up.

I actually forgot about that, I hope everything goes fine with him. But I still like the UNDER simply because if there's one thing that Spurrier despise about his South Carolina tunure is his lack of offense. And like I stated above the reason there offense is lacking is because they can't get the recruits they need to run that spread efficient enough.

Wow this will be a great game. When I first looked at this game I was thinking under but when the line came out it was to low. But the reason of that thinking is because I know solid defense will be the only thing tolerated on the field Saturday night. But I have a big question, about this Bama team. Why is everyone crowning them as an elite program ? Why is everyone picking them to go damn near underfeated again ? No one feel as if this program has to prove they can do it again ? Well I do. This Alabama team under Nick Saban had one big year and now people is talking like they been doing it for years like LSU , FLORIDA, TEXAS, AND USC. Last year Alabama played in the Sugar Bowl and got destroyed up front. It was so bad that I was embarrass for them . This team is only returning 4 starters on offense. They lost there Tight End, Offensive Tackle, Center, and Offensive gaurd. Thats why this team last year could run the ball so effective. They had a vetern offensive line, but now thats all gone. This new line will have to face a V.T defense thats year after year in the top 10. They will have all types blitz packages ready for this young Alabama line. Expect V.T to load the box with 8 to 9 people. They will force Alabama to pass the ball and that puts pressure on the offensive line to protect (Which they could'nt do against UTAH). Also Bama defense likes to run a three four scheme and drop bak in coverage, or zone blitz. But that zone defense can get lit up with a dual threat QB like Taylor. My main point of this game is Bama has some major questions on there team and what they love to do is run the ball but you need a solid O line to do that, and we all know that there's big questions. Well V.T is not the team you would like to test your offense on.

Z do not take Mississippi State. Please!!!! I watched the team from 1998 to now. I went to school there. They are some of the most undisciplined idiots in the world. The players are the dregs of the barrell. They should not even be in the SEC. They have a new coach that is used to working with players that have half a brain. He will spend most of the season trying to simplify a complex system to a bunch of idiots. There will be nothing special about this team. Dooooont do it.

LSU -17.5 vs. Washington

There is not much to get excited about after Washington finished a horiible 0-12. Coach Willingham is gone and Coach Sarkisian is in. Coach Sarkisian spent 2007 and 2008 as the assistant head coach and offensive coordinator at USC and that experience should turn the Huskies into a power once again…but it will take a while. Last year this Washington team was one of the worse offensive teams in the nation. Some probably can argue that it was because Locker was injured but one man don't make you all of a sudden a great offense. Like the offense, the defense ranked near or at the bottom of every major statistical category in the Pac-10. But that could change this year, with almost the whole defense back. But the front line has to get more pressure on the opposing quarterback since this team barely averaged more than one sack per game last year. But on the other side of the ball you have a LSU team that played terrible themselves last year. The defense had major talent but lacked performance due to the coaching , the offense lacked performance due to the QB issues of Jared Lee. Now if you ask the players at LSU has these problems been solved they will tell you yes. But it's still yet to be proven. Even though Jefferson had a month to prepare for the Chick Filet Bowl game and showed greatness many people across the nation will like to see it again due to the fact it was only one game. I personally love Jefferson, I saw him in the spring game and the kid looked great. A lot of players say that he remind them of Jamarcus Russel. Also LSU is bringing back a LOADED offense. This offense is downright the best in the west, and you add in Phenom freshman Rueban Randle and Russel Sheppard who runs a 4.2 in the 40 will make it a very hard job to defend. I really dont think Washington will have a answer. Also LSU defensive coaches last year was forced out by Miles. Miles brought in John Chavis , one of the most respected D.C in the nation. He also hired the Bears D LINE coach, and Ron Cooper a well known secondary coach. I believe with all the talent this defense has they will be back to there glory days like they were 2 years ago. JUST IMAGINE WHAT CHAVIS CAN DO WITH THIS TALENT AT LSU !! THIS TEAM WILL BE BETTER AND THERE ALL SAYING THAT THERE HUNGRY AND THERE READY TO GET THERE RESPECT BACK!!

Ohhhh boy don't I love betting the dogs against the media darlings. Ole Miss is a pretty good football team but it never fails with Houston Nutt. He seem to blow a pretty decent team up every time. I also want to see this Ole Miss team with the lights on them. Last year Ole Miss won all them games with no one taking them serious. Now the target is on there back, and people is gunning after them . How will they handle the pressure ? Well there first game will be there rival team in Memphis. Don't you think Memphis is itching to start this game? This is Memphis game of the year, they are looking foward to this even more this year due to all the hype thats surrounding Ole Miss. I'm looking for this game to be very close. Ole Miss will have to approach this game by punching Memphis in the mouth and I dont think they will do it. This game will be closer than people think with Memphis ability to score points. They have a good QB that can tuck it and pass it. They also have a decent 1000 yard rusher who will make this offense a balance one. I love Memphis +17.5 . By the way this game has already been bet down to 16 some places.
