Pags, you seem to be a living legend around here, so I'm jumping on board this year. How do you rate your units and how many games per week do you usually play, just trying to set my bankroll? Thanks in advance

last year he went up each week half a unit to 3 then down at the same rate

Love the ND pick Pags. Envious of the +103 too! Well done. I'm a WAC homer, but I just don't see UNR holding back ND in this one.

Yes!! First plays of the year! It's almost time! Like both picks Pags.

Let me know what you think about Penn St. -27... I really think they put the boots to the Zips and should win by 30+ easily.

    zboiz,

good to hear you are leaning towards Notre Dame...GL to you...

    sarms,

spongerat pretty much explained it...I start out lighter earlier in the year and build my way up...usually 7 games per week (Saturday), a few weeknight games sprinkled in...I'm trying to find an archived thread here where I expalin my money management system...

    spongerat,

thank you very much sir...GL to you next week...yes matchbook...they have a new fee structure too that should encourage more trading...

    bypp,

appreciate your support my friend...write-ups should be up next Thursday...

    dle,

I'd be happy to hear why Notre Dame isn't a good bet, but I'm afraid you probably haven't gotten a chance to watch Nevada's defense much lately, nor have you followed the progress of Notre Dame's program (especially their past three recruiting classes)...

    kim,

I completely agree with you...good luck to you next week...

    iceman,

I have no real opinion on the Penn. St. game as of now...I'll let you know if anything changes...

    ralphie,

people are entitled to their own opinions, but it is rather ignorant to call a play bad 11 days before the game...some people are like that, unfortunately they don't last over the long haul usually...thank you though for sticking up for me...

    vegasdave,

thank you very much ol' pal...appreciate the kind words...GL this season...

    first48,

thanks very much...welcome to SBR...I have no real opinion on Ohio St. at -21 or more...slightest of leans to Missouri at +7.5 or more, otherwise the game is a no play for me...BOL to you this season

Good luck with the season, Pags!

I have Notre Dame down as a "play-on" team for most of the season, so I will eventually be on them myself in this game.

Good Luck this year Pags! Really looking foward to hearing your input on the games this season. I'm on the opposite side of the Irish, as I like Nevada in this spot. I feel Nevada is flying under the radar while putting out a very strong team on the field this year. ND is loaded with weapons on offense (I know), just interested to see how the D-Line performs this year?

I'm going to take ND lol Good Luck and Hope Pags will get us big winner!!!

Good to see you again Pags. GL to you this season.

Any reason to get on SD St now? The line seems to be on the way up.

    rossta4i,

it's good to be back, thank you...will have a write-up for you next week...GL this year...

    soonerbs,

ol' pal, thanks for stopping by...it will be good working together again this year...good to hear you have Notre Dame in a play-on category...BOL to you this season...

    riggs,

appreciate you stopping by and your thoughts on the game...I understand your reasons for wanting to take Nevada...you may have some points about Notre Dames DL as I see them being improved but not unstoppable...however, I do think they will have one of the most improved LB corps in the entire country...this Te'o kid is the deal bro...anyway, we will see how that one plays out...GL to you bud...

    VenomLugz,

good to hear we will be on Notre Dame together...just remember to keep it light early in the season...GL sir...

    Dark Horse,

20 is a key number for me in this game...actually if you check the actual history of this line (SBR doesn't have it correct), the line opened like 21.5 and got bet down to 17 only to creep back up to 20...I've learned to not to try and be too greedy when it comes to games...20 was my number for this one and when it got there with good juice I was fortunate to have an offer matched...

    WVUsuperfan,

great question...I will be playing seven games that Saturday (and one on Thursday) but all games will be very light unit wise...just trying to get a feel for things...

    cheme82,

good to see you ol' friend...thank you...BOL to you this season...

Here's a post from a while back that briefly explains my money management system...

"remember that I start the season off with lighter units, then increase them until week 5 where I hold the units steady until week 9, ultimately slightly decreasing them starting in week 10...the reason being is that my studies have lead me to believe that the best time to play your heaviest units are in the middle of the season, whereas the beginning and end of the season things are a little more difficult...I will play 7 games every Saturday (with the exception of weeks 12 thru 14 where I play 5, 3, and 3 games respectively--less games on the card, need to be a bit more selective)...also, I play weeknight games light in comparison to my weekend games, only because I feel like weird stuff goes on, especially with these ESPN primetime games..."

I absolutely agree with this system 100% and find myself still playing weeknight games that I shouldn't and my bankroll suffers because of it. I still had a great year last year, but I wonder what it could have been like had I laid off of a handful of Thursday nighters...I don't have much of an opinion on your first 2 plays as they were no bets for me. However, you got such good numbers it's hard to be a critic. There are two games that I hope you are on...both are road dogs...one PAC10 and one ACC...
