I like the over 7.5 there.

Illinois wins: Illinois State, Purdue, Indiana, Fresno State, Minnesota, Michigan, Northwestern.

Probably losses: At Ohio State, Penn State

Toss Ups: Missouri, Michigan State at home, At Cincinnati,

Even if they lose one of the games I have penciled in as a win, they could win 2 of the 3 tossups. And if Williams plays consistent, I give them a shot at upsetting Penn State.

If you're banking on IL knocking off PA State only because it's a home game I think that would be a mistake. That part of the schedule has them at OSU (projected loss), PA St (sandwich game dangers) and MSU (HC) it will be tough to sweep them but I think they could only win one.

God, I hope they go over. It'll be a long fall if they don't. I think we'll have a lot better idea after the Mizzou game if this is the year Juice really gets his shit together. Our problem isn't our WR core -- it's our QB.

Over 7.5 here.........If they dont hit it you still made the right call. No reason Illini do not win 8 this year. If they dont Zookie's on the hot seat. He will pull through.

not trying to bust your balls illini, but didn't you get killed on a similar play last year?

Having said that, i'm pretty sure the illini cover that.

The problem is on the other side of the ball. Linebackers arent proven and the secondary is sketchy. They wont have a hard time scoring points, gotta get stops though.

I did lose the same bet last year. Our receivers were nothing like they are now.. This is gonna be an exciting high scoring team this year.

Scheelhaase won't win the QB job next year most people feel Jacob Charest will get the nod over Eddie next year. I never knew there was this much interest in the Illini on this board!

eh, steelhaase is supposed to be the shit, well see though. yeah and eddie is most certainly out of any qb chance no matter who is in there

I've been saying the same thing about Eddie since I sat in the 6th row at the Rose Bowl and watched Juice get decimated. As much praise as Juice gets, he's only got one arm speed -- laser. Eddie, IMHO, is more mobile than Juice and doesn't try to make stupid plays.

And yeah, this is my last year in Champaign, so I'm hoping this is the year that everything clicks.

Well, then you are an idiot. And I don't use that term loosely at all... you really shouldn't be wagering on games if you don't understand the value of Juice Williams at quarterback.

I fully understand what Juice brings to the table. The problem lies in his execution -- he has far more natural talent than Eddie, but his ability to harness that talent and consistently combine it with a good mental approach to the game is something that's been lacking. He's a great value when he's on, but it's terribly hard to predict when that will be.

Good point here. Love Juice, tho. He is one exciting player and the WRs are prime time. I think this one will be close but I'd take the over and rooting for plenty more.

totally, i was at the OSU game when he was like 12/17 for 181 and 4tds and played amazing, had all the touch and bullet passes and legs working and shows what he could be but other than that game i havent seen everything else click all at once. his mental aspect is awful but hopefully peaks this year, ive never seen a qb that once he decides to run gives up on all his recievers and tucks it, if he EVER kept his eyes up he'd see uh-oh or cumberland is ALWAYS open and flailing their arms begging for the ball

arthur and if those are idiot comments and dont understand anything then so be it...... you seen every game he's played since he came up????

and ling im back for last year as well for the MS, maybe seeya on campus
