In the SEC West, the top 3 can go any way.. I'm very interested to watch Ole Miss this year while in the spotlight.. No one will overlook them this year, so i gotta see how they handle the pressure.. In the East, man, i hope Garcia can get his act togeather, or you're right, it will be a long season for Carolina..

The West is extremely close, I selected them in that order for the previously stated reasons. I agree with your comment about MS not getting overlooked but what helps them is no FL or UGA this season - both who are top ten quality. One thing Supperior does well is know quarterback ability & talent, Garcia suffered from 'youth' last season and having a season under him now at a big time conference, he should perform better. Don't make a lot from the first couple road games win or lose as NC State and UGA have very good defenses. SC should be able to get past NC State but not by much (1 to 7 points). I'll know more after watching UGA on the 5th. Win or lose, it's nice to have college football back.

    Default 8/28/09 Pick

Trying not to be a homer here, but I grew up in Wisconsin during the Lombardi years and lived in Arizona for 30+ years while suffering through the Cardinals.

Now in Vegas I like the Pack tonight. Thinking even tho it's preseason they want to make a statement not only in the division, but the conference as well. With all the Favre, Cutler, Vick, Brady, Cassel hoopla, I think Aaron Rodgers is under the radar. Like the fact I'm not stuck ith the hook either.

    Packers +3.5 1 Unit

    Delayed post (sorry).

VegasPlayer, no they are not - adjusted the lines for some along the way, which allows one to lose yet another still has the chance to win (and cover a losing ticket).

    Default Weekend Plays 9/5/09

Went very light to see how things would go and check out where other cappers in the forum were at:

    ORE +3.5
    ND -14
    GA +5
    BYU +22.5
    LA Tech +14
    SDSU +19
    LSU -18
    VT +7

    2-5-1 -.61 Units

Early impression is that the linesmakers just threw some numbers out there. Many spreads way, way off. What really surprised me was how far off they were on the high profile programs. Also, as I've stated previously, the talent gap and poor coaching decisions in alot of these programs makes CFB very hard to cap. Glad I layed low. Gonna take a wait & see for the next couple of weeks. Bring on the NFL!
