Texas deserves to be #1. Except for Ohio St they have beaten the dog out of everyone they faced while USC has been in dog fights just to get W's.

If they hold up a Texas v USC would be amazing to watch.

It should be much better then that SC vs Oklahoma last year. Even though I made off good with SC in that game, it wasnt much of a championship game.

i'm still not sold on texas just yet, they always seem to lose at least 1 game a year.

Just One more reason the BCS is innacurate.

Ranking shouldnt change unless you are beaten and if you lose to a team better than you, unless blown out by someone close to your ranking, ranking should not change.

Georgia and Alabama basically out due to injuries. Will see how much fight they have left. Florida and Georgia should be a good one, but Florida is looking good.

A lot of folks put that on Mack and he should get his share. But most of those years they were simply not the best team. Their defense has not been champion caliber for a while, good yes but not great.

As I said before the Tech game this is a very good defense. They are deep and I mean really deep. They have all Big 12 guys that have been beat out and now rotate on the D line.

They are big, fast, deep and they have an offense that can lite up the scoreboard with quick strikes or they will just pound up the middle.

The futures started out as USC -13.5 and now its -6.5. Folks, I'm going to tell ya something; USC can not beat this Texas team even on their home field and by kickoff this will be a pick'em game.

I think Texas deserves the #1 rating, but USC will be at least a 3 point favorite over them in a hypothetical (until January) bowl game.

I'm happy about it. This is what I played and posted.

Tex +170 to win Big 12 and +1200 to win it all: Texas was 11-1 last year with it's only loss to Oklahoma. Oklahoma was loaded last year and lost almost the whole team to the NFL. Heisman candidate QB Young returns. He's a dangerous runner who ran for 1079 yds at 6.5 yds/carry with 14 TDs. Young broke a Rose Bowl record last year in total offensive yards. Tex was the #1 rushing team in the Big 12 avg 299 yds/game. They return 8 starters on a D and are a very strong on both the OL and DL. Steele has the Tex D line rated #2 in the country. This is the year that Tex finally beats Okl and gets their shot at a National Championship.
