I'm going to start it off with my most favorable bet again:
OSU/Minny Under 64
Believe me the Buckeyes just don't run up the score. Again this week is at the Horseshoe and Minnesota will struggle to score. I expect the same thing as last week with maybe less Buckeye scores. The max the Bucks will score is 45 and the max Minnesota can score is 14 which makes 59 (a cover). I'll take it in a hot second.
Notre Dame pk
Notre Dame may be the most overrated team in the country, but I think the books have finally put them in their place. People have lost a little faith is this squad, but they will not lose to the Midshipmen. The QB Hampton is out, and we saw what happened to them with that.
Northwestern +48
What is Michigan doing being favored by 34 in this game. I mean Northwestern might be the worst in the Big Ten, but that doesn't mean Michigan will all of the sudden score a million fafillion points. The most they have scored all season was 47 and they were forced to at Notre Dame. They score easily sometimes, but they slow down after a lead much like the Buckeyes.
Northern Illinois +31.5
I like this one simply because Tate is out. I saw Iowa play at Syracuse w/o him and they are a different team. Iowa's defense should allow Northern Illinois to put up some points as well. Iowa might not even score 31 points, so I wouldn't worry about this one too much. Oh did I mention that Iowa gives up 127.7 rushing yards per game. GARRETT WOLFE will play a big part in this game covering. What happened to Iowa?
Of course I like my picks above, but I want to make the best teaser possible, so here are my other options:
I have never been much of a totals guy so can't give you advice on the MINN/OSU total but I can say that I like your other picks and also like Florida and USC A LOT. Georgia has looked like shit the past couple of weeks and I can't see how they keep this game close. USC won't lose to Oregon St so I like the USC pick. I can't see Northwestern getting beat by that many but they have absolutely no confidence and I wouldn't be surprised if Michigan doesn't shut them out this week.
Thanks for the warning Art, but it is not the weapons of the buckeye offense you have to worry about. It is Jim Tressel and the defense. J Tress does not run up the score period. And, the defense allows the least points in the NCAA along with LSU. If anything 64 points is a gift to everyone (maybe give the under 50 a shot) because over 50 is a somewhat foolish bet unless you are convinced Minny will put up more than 10 points.
i like the florida pick, but with teasers i like to take teams that have imo less than 5% chance of covering. Georgia covers the +14 imo which means they have a shot at the pk.
Bucks should cover -13, they have with every other team. I think this game will be easily under 64 though. Probably under 50.
ND pk is definitely one of my favorites as shown above.
Tenn is too risky for me at SC. I say no.
USC should win, but hey anything can happen in the Pac10.
Personally I think you can still take everything I have in my teaser and still win easily, but the osu spread and usc might be the safest you have.
Thanks for the feedback you make some good points. I might just bet USC and Ohio State straight up and give the points I am pretty confident that both will cover this week.
IMO teasers have to be mostly used to add more points to plus points otherwise i would jut do a moneyline parlay. What I try to do is take + spreads that the opponent can't even score in the game. For example, I don't even think Michigan will score over 40 against Northestern, so they can't cover the spread. And shiit even if they were to score that many Northwestern doesn't have to be scoreless. I kind of think the same idea applies for NIU +31.5.
