Georgia/ Sparty looks like a big mismatch to me. Not sure why the line is only -3 UGA seems like they should be at least a 6 pt fave in this spot..

McGloin was absolute trash! How is this Bolden? How is penn state going to score points? I know Houstons D sucks, but penn states offense is atrocious!

I am pretty sure boldin is not good and it could make this game interesting.

Bolden started first seven for Lions. Past two years qb roulette at Penn St. HC Bradley named McGloin the starter before the fight. I don't see much of a drop off. I actually even think Lions might benefit from Boldens increased mobility. Penn St offense can struggle but that Cougar D can instill confidence quickly in any struggling offense.

Houston head coach gone. Cougars dissapointed in being in this bowl after perferct season smashed by So Miss. Hats off to Keenum for a great year, but he's never seen anything like this Lion D. PSU O line will beat on Cougar D line. I feel the Lions will rally after all the adversity they've been through.

I always look hard at the better defense, when getting points. When the game went to 7 plus the hook I bit. Big 10 vs CUSA makes the + 7 1/2 look even juicer when taking the # 10 Defense in the land.

    Penn St + 7 1/2

Yeah, I'm big on who has the better defense also? BUT....how good is the Nittany Lions D against the pass and how will Houston's o-line handle the front 4 from Penn State?

The winner lies in those questions.

I think the best bet on the board is South Carolina -2.5. Nebraska struggles to score as it is much less facing the Gamecocks who have a pretty good defense.

Penn St is # 10 in the nation in Total Defense, # 5 in points allowed and # 5 in pass efficency Defense.

Northwestern & Iowa can throw the ball, though not like Houston.
Penn State played 9 bowl teams Alabama, Temple, Ia, Purdue, NW, Ill, Neb, OSU, Wisky, hung tough with all of them except Wisky, they were mentally exhausted, went 6-3.
Strength of schedule is HUGE difference: 34-107 Sagarin, 24-143 RPI favors Penn St.
Penn State alumni rallying around the team, Houston kids down thought they were going undefeated & to a BCS bowl, they finally played a well balanced team So Miss and got blown out, and now their coach deserted them.
Take the points and the better 19 athletes (QB & 2 Wr's go to Houston).

They're definitely not one of my big plays, but I think that the Cougahs are going to put PSU in a serious bind.

if kerry collins was back at penn st half in the bag their offense would suck. penn st wins with defense, running the ball and will need turnovers.

Oklahoma St. -4. Simply, they are a much better team than Stanford and the game will be very high scoring so they can cover easily.

How do you define "MUCH BETTER" team??

Ok state: 11-1 and 8-1 in big 12
    Ranked #3
    Passing yards: 386 per game
    Rushing yards: 170 per game
Points for: 49.3 2nd in nation
Points against: 25.8 60th in nation

    Stanford: 11-1 and 8-1 in pac 12
    Ranked #4
    Passing yards: 273 per game
    Rushing yards: 208 per game
Points for: 43.6 7th in nation
Points against: 20.3 23rd in nation

So, Ok state wins by an average of 24 points and Stanford wins by an average of 23 points. Stanfords only loss was to Oregon who is ranked #5 in the nation and lost 2 games all year.

IMO this game is a toss up. Cover easily??????? Please define "much better" because I would love to hear it.
