FAU will cover. Schnellenburger 5-0 in bowl games, he knows how to coach in them.

lean to FAU here...both teams have good offenses and bad defenses...both teams are coached pretty well...home field edge to CMU and their QB is a player but can't justify laying a touchdown with their defense...

Does anyone know in what stadium are they playing? Is it in a dome outside in the elements?

Fuk the sides for a while.I'm going with the over on this one.Just can't seem to get a side right.Going to play all totals for FRI + sat!

There will be a lot of points in this one for sure. I wish they were playing outside because it would be advantage CM. I am taking the home team at -6. Either team could cover. Home team, better record, better offense they protect the ball.

They should win by 14 yes. There offense is explosive with Lafevour but D is suspect, but so is FAU's.

CM takes care of the ball. FAU averages 2.3 turnovers a game CM 0.92 TOs. 1.25 ints for FAU and .58 CMU. When its a offense shootout the turnovers will make or break the game.

    economy is killing Michigan

    CMU -6.5

Yes, the defense is somewhat of a concern, but then again, they also played a tougher schedule than FAU. They won at Indiana and almost won at Purdue, and as bad as the Big Ten is, it is still miles better than the Sun Belt Conference.

You must really believe that the MAC is superior to the sunbelt because FAU played a much more difficult out of conference schedule

Cmich played -- Purdue , indiana , georgia and eastern illinois.
Fau played -- Texas , uab , michigan state and minnesota.

OOC schedule is not even close.

But i do agree with you that the MAC is a superior conference than the sunbelt and maybe by more than a little bit.

FAU will be missing their starting placekicker , two offensive linemen who start and a starting linebacker for this game.

Line and total seem about right to me , so i will kick back and enjoy it over a few brews with no action but wish everyone else luck.

As much as I like CMU here, the betting action being completely on CMU scares me a bit.

Let me rephrase. CMU was COMPETITIVE vs. much tougher competition. I mentioned their two games vs. the Big Ten, and while yes, FAU was on the same field as some monster schools, it is not as if they competed in those games.

Man if You can get a 57.5 Total pts on this game, then bet the FARM on the OVER. Everywhere I've looked it's been 67.5 to 68 Total.

I love the OVER in this game. But it's been bet up from 62pts to now 68pts. That worries me a lot. Wish I would've bet it sooner.

Once a total gets near 70pts (and it doesn't involve Oklahoma) I get nervous betting the OVER.

All that said, It should be a shoot-out on Friday.

Central Michigan's defense is only somewhat of a concern huh?...wow, if one only gets somewhat concerned with one of the worst defenses in the entire country (and trust me they are, I've seen these guys plays several times), when is it that you truly get concerned?...in no way am I saying FAU is an extremely solid play, but again laying these kinds of points with that kind of defense, in the same bowl this team went to the last two years(this year being the third, how fired up can they really be?), is a risky proposition in my opinion...oh yeah and 80% of the public is on CMU and the line is moving back down...

I got the over at 66.5.I still think that is a steal. This will be an absolute shootout!Aside from the fact that these are two terrible defenses,we all know what Lefevre can do and don't overlook FAU Qb Rusty Smith. He can toss it around just as well.I'm making the over a rather descent play tom night.I really feel there may be 50pnts by the half here.GL guys!I'm upping my bet on this one.I see a game similar to the C-Mich-E-Mich game. The FAU offense should be considered a juggernaut compared to the Hurons offense.

I'm with you guru-t. I never advocate playing teasers but this game is hard to play straight up. CMU's defense is absolutely horrible, as is FAU's. CMU really let me down vs. Eastern Michigan and laying -8 (as I see it's at now) is f****** crazy!

I'm gonna play a 6.5 point teaser with my local,

    FAU +14.5
    Over 61.5

Just started looking at this one today. Now I'm reading that these a**holes over at FAU have 4 starters out for this one on suspensions! These thugs don't even belong on a football team, never mind in a college.

Maybe CMU -1 & Over 61, MIGHT be a better play???

CMU was COMPETITIVE vs. much tougher competition. I mentioned their two games vs. the Big Ten, and while yes, FAU was on the same field as some monster schools, it is not as if they competed in those games.
FAU was more competitive against Texas than CMU was against Georgia. Final scores and yardage were similar, but CMU was not competitive until after the game had been decided. CMU's first 5 possessions against UGA totaled 36 yards and one first down (four three-and-outs). BY the time CMU got its 2nd first down, it was 21-0.

FAU's first four possessions against Texas went for 182 yards, including drives ending at the UT 16 (fumble), 8 (Int), and 14 (FG).

As for CMU's games against the Big 10, Indiana is bad even by Sun Belt standards. Six of the 8 Sun Belt teams are better than IU.

Everyone knows that both deffenses aren't very good. However, CM's run stop unit is by far the worst of the two (considering CM doesn't have a run game, FAU's stop unit wont come into play too often tonight).

My thoughts are, FAU will establish the run tonight which will limit CM's offense production (don't get me wrong, CM will score thier points), however, FAU can toss the ball around just as easily as CM... FAU's running game will be the difference tonight..

    FAU 31 CM 33

    Good luck

RE: 4 players not playing tonight - 3 of the 4 players weren't star players. The only concner is the kicker (does anyone have info on the replacemnt kicker?).
