    Default Tulsa????!!

man...ive been doing some research on this Tulsa/East Carolina game and everything is telling me to take Tulsa at -12. Through my research i found that 14 starters that played a key role in East Carolina's upset victories in the beginning of the season are not playing. Also, they are playing a high octane offense in Tulsa at Tulsa.....To me this looks real easy....

i was watching the preview of this game between mark may and the elder holtz and holtz was sounding real nervous about whether or not East Carolina can keep up with Tulsa

I think their road woes late in the season made them a great value Saturday!

I like ECU here. It's a championship game and ECU can run the ball really well and play tough, physical defense. This is a miniature FLA-BAMA game. The Pirates cause a lot of disruption for Johnson.Even if the Tulsa offense is on track, their defense sux so I think Pinckney can keep ECU close.ECU will force turnovers in this game.ECU 30-28 in my opinion!

ECU and 13.5 points is too much to pass up on. And I'm very familiar with how well TU's offense plays at home. But look at the teams who they beat by that much at home. It's not like you get that much of a home field advantage in a 30,000 seat stadium.

Not only is Tulsa dominant at home, but what has ECU done to earn your respect on the road?

    4 point win over Tulane
6 point loss to NC State (before they found their grove)
    15 point loss to Virginia

3 point win over Central Florida
18 point loss to Southern Miss
    4 point win over UAB

Their road wins against awful opponents were all nail-biters.

At home against Houston (comparable to Tulsa from an offensive powerhouse standpoint), they lost by 17.

Bad road team VS. great home team. I'd tread lightly taking ECU here.

    National Rankings:

Houston 12th in total scoring, UTEP 24th (Tulsa 2nd)

Houston 2nd in total yards, UTEP 30th (Tulsa 1st)

    Houston 7 - 5
    UTEP 5 - 7
    (Tulsa 10 - 2)

    But again, GL sir

What has Tulsa done to earn your respect? They let Houston drop 70 points on them. I don't care of it's in your mother's kitchen or on mars, that's laughable.

ECU (regardless of injuries) beat Virginia Tech who is in the ACC championship. Tulsa? They lost (and never really caught up after getting down 17-0) to Arkansas, who until the LSU win was a total bottom feeder.

I'm not saying ECU wins, I'm just saying neither team is all that impressive, and I'll take 13.5 points on either team because of that.

What makes you have confidence in your money that Tulsa blows out ECU? A 13.5 spread means Tulsa is expected to blow ECU out. The line slightly lower than Mizzou/OU for gods sake.

When you run a no huddle offense with tons of wrinkles both through the air and on the ground, chock full with reading defenses and audibles, it makes sense that things run smoothly at home where there aren't thousands of screaming hostile fans in your ear. This isn't the NFL, these are kids; and miscues are going to happen on the road in a complicated offense.

At home, without crowd noise being a deterrent, Tulsa has won by margins of 42, 28, 35 (against a tough Rice team), 42, 30, and 49. Lowest point total; 49.

ECU may very well keep it close. But I believe the fact that 3 of
Tulsa's last 4 games being on the road was why the offense quieted, not because of their ability. The illusion that they've "cooled off" has people seeing ECU +13 as a bargain. I think its smoke and mirrors.

    We will see soon

The correct line for this game is Tulsa -7.5

That said, I'm on the Tulsa ML in a parlay.

There is tremendous value in ECU +13.5, no one can dispute that. In fact, Tulsa has not even faced a Top 30 team all year according to Sagarin ratings.

    Correct line?

Anyone know how Tulsa turned the ball over on the first drive?

I did not expect ECU to actually win this game, but you're giving me 13.5 points to a team winning by a touchdown in the 2nd half?

Nice call ECU backers... very sick effort by the defense. I'm very surprised.
