    Default Buffalo @ Bowling Green

I am going to make this short and sweet... I have been waiting for this game for the last few weeks hoping everything fell into place like it needed to, and it has...

From the players I have talked to personally, to the practices I have watched, to the press conferences, Turner Gill has this team ready to go to the MAC Championship. They are firing on all cylinders right now and after slowing down a few weeks ago when Starks was hurt, they are finally healthy.

I do not see how a BG team that has played so poorly to shitty teams will be a match for UB friday, let alone the favorite in the game. I dumped a little over 50% of my roll on this game @ +3.5, I am not wasting any time looking at the total, I am all over UB!!!!

    Who is with me???

I hadn't given this game any though until I read this thread, but now i'm intrigued. Have to admit, I was a high on Buffalo to start the season and I think Drew Willey is on of the best QB's in the MAC. Buffalo played tight games on the road against Central Mich and Western Mich, and they also looked respectable against Missouri. The only think that I don't like is that Bowling Green beat Pitt by 10, Buffalo lost by 11. But that was very early in the season...

Any more info that points to Buffalo having it together to take this game on the road?

I feelm the same way. I have no idea why BG is favored in this game? something just doesnt seem right. Everything I have looked at points towards Buff in this game. They dont have a defense but nether does BG, however Buffs offense is explosive and should run away with this one.
Buff +4 for me and probally a ML play.

i actually hate it when everyone agrees with one side. it doesn't turn out the way it should as often as it should.

Default I am not betting the farm but...

I used to make bank betting against Buff like Duke.

This year, they have been covering machines. I am on Buff too. What keeps me a little in check is that I have watched Buff play and a couple wins were truly miracles... although one could argue at least they are good enough to be in position for a miracle. Really expecting to see them win outright.

So my standard practice on games like this. Bet them on the m/l, double up on points.

What are you seeing that makes you lean to BG? This game came off the key number of 3 and makes me like UB that much more.

The ONLY time their offense sputtered is when Starks was out of the lineup. Drew Willy is one of the most efficient QB's and does not turn the ball over. I think this is a great spot for UB, they left Wednesday so they have been there 2 days, so the travel aspect is not going to be a factor.

I am on the ML and +4 and over! GL!

At the same time they SHOULDVE beat Central Michigan they clunked a FG, and the Temple game was bullshit... I was at the game, they gave huge chunks of yards at the end to let Temple back in. UB deserved that game...

    Default Buffalo

Buffalo can taste it. Although I want someone to disagree with me because usually the heavy favorite from all of you guys ends up for the worst. This will be a very cold game but with no serious injuries BG only beat Buffalo by 8 last time at home Buffalo looks to be my pick.

    Here is some good insight:

For Buffalo, the past fuels the present

Turner Gill doesn't have some secret coaching mojo.

There are no magic words or special techniques to explain how he turned Buffalo from a 1-10 team when he took over in 2006 to a 6-4 team sitting atop the Mid-American Conference East Division.

All he asked his players to do when he took the job was learn something about each other.

Turner Gill has his team sitting atop the Mid-American Conference East Division.

It probably seemed like an odd request since a lot of the players had played as true or redshirt freshmen. They'd been around each other a whole year and battled to a 10-6 win over Kent State -- the team's only win in 2005.

But what Gill saw was a team that was familiar, but didn't really know each other. And how could they fight for each other on the football field if they didn't really know for whom they were fighting.

"I had the players stand up in front of our team and share who they are and share their experiences," Gill said. "Through that, we got to know these people in a more deeper way. The more you talk, the more you have a clear, open mind and not already have a predetermined motion of who this person is, why he is the way he is, whether he's rich or poor, whether he's black or he's white, whether he's from New York or he's from Texas or wherever he's from. You find out that there's a lot more in common that you have than differences."

That simple exercise has helped Buffalo to a 6-4 record this season, including a 4-2 mark in conference play to lead the MAC East. It's the best overall record the Bulls have had since going 8-3 in 1996 and the most competitive they've ever been in the MAC. One more win should secure the Bulls' first bowl invitation since 1958.

I just really think there is WAY too much on the line for UB...Gill,Willy and Starks will leave every single ounce of heart they have in themselves on the field.

The one thing that stands out is the OT win when they decided to go for it 4 and 1 instead of kicking a FG. They are feeling it right now and I cant argue with it...

GL to us all! Regardless of any "jinx's" or reverse line movement or anything else... They still have to play the game, thats why this shit is so much fun! I will be at the bar at 6pm watching Drew Willy pick apart that BG defense... And if not, least I am at a bar!
