Default Lout's Picks 11/8

I am going to take a little more time on this weekend's picks as I went 3-3 last week. I will have my picks up by Wednesday. I promise a stronger showing this weekend. All bets are for 5 units unless stated otherwise. 1 unit = $100

Kansas +1.5
Texas -25.5
TCU -1.5
San Jose St -7
Oklahoma -27
Ohio St -11

1st Pick

Kansas -1.5

Kansas put 76 points on this Nebraska team last year. Now, I do not forsee that happening again with Pelini as the Cornhuskers new head coach, but I do believe Nebraska is still rebuilding. Kansas will not have problem beating this team and should win handedly.

2nd Pick

Texas -25.5

This line is great. Baylor almost beat a very good Missouri team last week and Texas lost a close one to #2 ranked Texas Tech. This line is at least 7 points off where it should be. Texas has not beat Baylor by less than 30 points in 20 years and this one is in Austin! Texas knows they need to impress voters to keep their name in the National Title conversation. A modest win simply will not do. This is a true gift.

Love the Kansas pick. I would take whatever the 1st half line is for the Texas game. Luckily that's what I did last week for Mizzou and it saved me.

I would also take whatever the 1st half lines come out to be for Alabama and Oklahoma

I had the TCU game until the last minute of the game.. that was just plain bad luck.
They held the lead the entire game... ugh.

I am adding one pick:

Ohio St -11

They are coming off a bye week.. the week before that they lost a hard fought game to Penn St, so they look to lay the whooping stick down on Northwestern like they always do.

Deleting:

Penn St -7
Due to weather.
