i love parlays....they are fun and if youre making enough profit on straight bets u can use some to play around.

Three years ago I WON a 12 game NFL parlay 25 bucks paid me $50,000.....It was freaking amazing.....

A couple months later in college BBall I missed two different 12 games parlays 2 days apart both by one game......both would have paid out 100K haha

i love big parlays 6 teams returns like +4000 x40 why would you not try to turn 10 bucks to 400 at even money or 10 to 200 at -200 which is a tad more realistic.

You can make different combinations of predictions that are based on solid research and analysis and do pretty well.

bookmaker has a 1 dollar minimum bet and you can pick 6 favorites at -200 moneyline and turn 50 bucks into 1000 bucks. if nothing else, its fun.

if you cant pick 4 games moneyline from saturday morning to sunday night when the nfl, nba, college football, college basketball and hockey seasons all overlap- maybe you should be gathering and selling aluminum cans instead of betting on sports.

Hello all, New here to these forums... just want to throw my 2 cents in.

The above example of miss my parlay by 1 or 2 games is why I like round robins. I usually do 5 teams round robin 2s and 5s. get all the 2 team wins i can and if I'm lucky enough to hit the 5er... then yippie for me.

    Just my opinion of course.
    Best of luck to all!

You are parlaying way to many teams. I suggest only 2 team parlays if any at all.

Moneyline Parlay for 10-31-08 to prove how fun and potentially profitable it is.

you can spend 15 bucks on a chick's movie admission with popcorn and a drink or you can take a chance and turn it into an xbox360.

NBA- NEW YORK vrs PHILADELPHIA u218½-130 (B+1)
SAN ANTONIO vrs PORTLAND over177-130 (B+1)
    Denver @ Clippers -½-130 (B+1)
    ATP Tennis- ANDY MURRAY -200
    RAFAEL NADAL -260
    JO-WILFRIED TSONGA +105
    $15 to win $338.69

(tried to put up a picture of the actual bet from bookmaker but as you can see im a sbr noob and cant figure out how to do it properly)

If i lose, who cares, i probably woulda spent it on chinese food later. I picked intelligently off my own research and common sense and had fun taking a chance but i doubt more than one of these bets will flop. probably an injury in the denver game or andy roddick pretending hes not lame for a couple sets.

Parlays are fine, just dont go nuts with 'em and keep in mind there are many different combinations of things that can happen.

Yes but how many do you lose before you win 1?

look guys I dont think anyone is saying that the best way to make money on sports is by playing parlays.

However if you are profitable with straight bets, spending a little to goof around with parlays is fun. Like I said earlier I was 50K on a 12 team NFL parlay a few years ago. Now that's a lotta scratch

I love parlays, though anything about 2 tends to be a horrid play (for me at least). I missed out on a 7 team parlay a couple years ago because the FG kicker missed 3-4 that game.

I play a 2 team (maybe 3 team) parlay every few weeks, but only when I feel really strong about it. I won a TTech & PSU parlay last week, though I lost my 2 NFL ones....which seem to be sucker bets for me.

a lot lol. but like the other guy said, dont think anyones sayin its the most effective strategy and best way to make money but sometimes its worth the risk if you can afford it and should not be shunned completely as it traditionally is.

This is the best time of year for parlays. Any given weekend do you know how many games there are to bet on between CFB NFL NBA and NHL!!!! between those four major sports there are bound to be a good number of lines that look really solid, so taking a chance on parlaying a few is not a bad idea

I once hit 6 team parlays 3 days in a row. I have twice hit 10 team parlays, but parlays are horrible because I can never bring myself to bet anymore than $10 on them, just not a sound bet.

I cap the vast majority of my parlays at $50....with 2 team parlays being the exception. I don't bet them enough to support anything more.

I didn't think too hard about this one. I most likely won't play these as single bets, it's just a parlay. Haven't done one of these in a long time, but since its Halloween weekend I'll test my luck.
