Default Lousiana Tech at Boise st

    Lousiana Tech ML +1500
    Lousiana Tech +22.5

    Lousiana TEch ML half +650
    Lousiana Tech +13.5

ONe of these conference teams is going to upset Boise St and Lousiana Tech plays them tough. Last year Boise St won at Lousiana TEch 45-31 but the game was closer than the score. IF Tech had had not committed 4 turnovers in that game, they would have won or the score would have been closer. Lousiana TEch rushed for 207 yards while Boise St had 136. Daniel Porter had 131 yards on 13 carries (10.1 avg) and Patrick Jackson had 68 yards on 14 carries. Lousiana TEch had 26 first downs while Boise had 18. Tech had advantage in time of possession. Tech has had success rushing this season. Tech rushed for 149 yards against Kansas and another 250 yards against SOutheastern Lousiana. Tech has played much better on defense this season.

THis could be a let down game. I like tech plus the points and a small ML bet on Tech at the half and the game. Does anyone have any information on this game?

Prediction: Louisiana Tech will control time of possession by running the football and play keep it away from Boise State. Boise State was exposed in a bowl game last year when they could not stop ECU's running game. Boise St was lucky to beat ORegon which had major injuries at the QB spot. ORegon still racked up over 200 yards rushing against BOise St in that game. If Tech does not turn the ball over, they will upset Boise St.

    letdown factor is huge
boise also has a trip to so. miss up next
not sure if thats a game they'd be looking ahead to though
still like the generous points besides any of the above though
i'd actually probably buy 22-1/12 up to 24

BOL on your play...I hope you went small on the ML bets...As I'm sure you know, Boise wins and covers a large % of the time at home...

    Its 24.5 at the greek.(-110)

    p.s.

Boise State is 38-15 ATS all-time at home, including 18-2 ATS in conference home games when not laying 26 points or more (26-7 ATS in all conference home games).

THe spread is now Boise St -24.5 & +1400 ML for the game.
Boise St -14 & +600 ML for halftime

I am surprised that the line jumped from -22 to -24.5 today. I would definitely not put money on Boise St. This is a total letdown game. Seems like oddsmakers are moving the line in the opposite direction. I feel an upset in this game. LOuisiana Tech will be up at the half.

NOw the spread is boise st -26 at betus. I like Tech even more now. Does anyone elese like LOusiana Tech. I checked the spread at Betus using my account# and the spread is boise st -26. When I checked the spread without logging into my betus account, the spread is boise st -24.5. I wonder why there is difference in the spread at betus when I log in and when I do not. Can anyone explain this?

I think the under has a chance both teams have punters who avg over 40 yards a punt and everything Im reading LA TEch likes to run the ball should chew up some clock. small play on the under.

Boise State has covered the -36.5 and -24.5 the previous years they have had this game at Boise. Note, both games at Boise went over as well. Kellen Moore has thrown for 5 td's and a pick while completing over 70% of his passes and Boise State currently sits at 18th in the country. Note, that the Bronco defense gave up just 7 points to Bowling Green and Idaho State at home. La Tech on the other hand didn't put up a point on the road at Kansas. People love Boise State and the over here by over margins of 66% and I know the total has taken a spike up. Regardless, it is tough to wager against Boise State at home - but this is a conference game and Boise State could be in for a let down where they don't play well in the first half. Regardless, I wouldn't be surprised to see an under here because it is conference play similar to yesterday and the public is well over 70% on the over. La Tech is a young team on the road so I don't see them necessarily plowing away the points, nor do I see Boise State letting too many points being scored at home. The under is 4-0 for the Bulldogs of La Tech after a bye week and the under is 4-1 for the Broncos in conference games. Lean and comp pick on the under today.

For what it is worth, I like La Tech (+24.5). Tech is coming off of more than a weeks rest, and arrived in Boise 2 days ago to acclimate to the weather/thinner air; Coach Dooley is an up and coming star who knows that this solo-night televised game is a chance to show off (he is also the AD at tech, and his own boss); He selected this game last year in scheduling and got it televised, I think to give him a national stage (only one game to put eyes on); I think he gambles tonight ala Les Miles (LSU), and goes for it on 4th downs, runs a few trick plays, etc.. Tech can likely score 20 points here (2 TD, 2 FG), maybe 27. Think Boise will be at 34 or 41 points. I know that Boise has covered in the past, but that past included a QB that could not hit a barn, and an injured running back. Techs running back is healthy now, and a top 10 all time rusher for tech (within shot of 3rd on the list this season), is a lesser man that Ian, but Tech gives him a lot of sweeps with a fast guard in the lead, and tech converts good on third down. I agree with the other posters that Tech runs the ball a lot tonight and plays keep-a-way. Their punter is mean, and has good distance.

    I'll take the +24.5, $330 TW $300

History says Boise. But with the line move makes me think. After reading this thread I'm going to take the points here. Small play.

I'd say beating an SEC team is something positive.

I am a La Tech alum. I see no way Tech wins this game so don't load up on the ML. Tech beat an aweful Miss St team at home earlier this year. However when we went to Kansas, we couldn't score. We got shut out in that game and Kansas hung 29 on us.

Dooley is definately going to try and limit the possesions that Boise has by running the ball. Our QB, Bennett, is a GT transfer and he has not come around. He's not good but he's better than everyone else at the position.

We've got two threats on Offense. Livas is a WR transfer from Arkansas who has talent. We'll get him the ball in creative ways. Then there is Patrick Jackson who is a strong RB. Jackson and Livas we'll get plenty of touches.

I don't see us being able to stop Boise. We weren't able to stop Kansas so I have no reason to believe we'll be able to stop Boise. We were strong against the run when we played Miss St, but we did not defend anything well against Kansas. We gave up 538 total yards to Kansas, 412 were through the air.

The question tonight is going to be: how many points do we score?

It's just hard to answer that. I expect Boise to score often and Tech will have to take advatage of opportunities to get the ball in the end zone but it won't be easy.

    My Prediction:
    Boise St 38
    La Tech 7

My money is on Boise St.

That was pretty close. Final score:

I've gotten some good information on this board from Pags and others. I hope I was able to return the favor to some folks tonight. Good way to go into the weekend.

Cha Ching. I hit for my biggest play of the year in college football on this game. 17.5 units!!! I have had a brutal two week run of 2-9 in college football, but this one made up for the losses. Time to ride the wave for the big weekend. Sorry, had to crow a little. Good luck this weekend all.
