    Default craps tips?!

    going to the casino tomorrow.. my buddies want to play some craps... any good tips?

    my most effective method was play the 6-8 24 dollars each as soon as it hits cut it to 12 if it hits again 6 your showing a profit then you can leave it up or start pressing in case of a hot roll .

    Play the pass line (or don't pass) and take max odds and hope the dice are kind.

    If you want some extra action, place the 6 and 8.

    Any other advice should be disregarded.

    Just bet the pass line. Lay max odds and then put a come bet out. Lay max odds on that.

    Agree...if the table is hot and your winning pressing every once in a while is o.k....but I agree when you're on the 6/8 and it hits...same bet and take your profit.

    All good advice... stick to the lowest house percentage wagers: pass, don't pass, come, don't come, place the 6 & 8, buy the 4 & 10. Use a regression or say "same bet". Press only when you are quite a bit up. Most importantly, tip your dealers. They'll root for you and make sure you are well taken care of.

    I like placing the 6 & 8 rather than the passline even with full odds. If the point is 4 or 10 you are a 2 to 1 dog to lose your bet, 5 or 9 you are a 3-2 underdog. Granted odds are paid true but it's always depressing to be that strong of an underdog.

    I play max odds on 6-8, just a little less than max odds on 5-9 and low odds on 4-10
