According to my blackjack math models, you need 9-5 to even have a fighting chance.

The only people to blame are the morons who continue to play at 6:5. As usual, the market decides. If no one played 6:5 the casinos would all deal 3:2, since they still have the edge at those odds. It amazes me how people will line up at 4am on Black Friday to save $50 on a TV but they won't pick up a $10 book on blackjack to learn the basics of the game (which tables to play, basic strategy, etc.). As a result they squander BAGS of money on 6:5 BJ.

Is this single deck,? 6/5 is standard in vegas.on single deck.. 6 deck is 3/2. Black jack is beatable but has a higher risk of bustout depending on how much risk one takes. Usually better to take small bites. If u are going to be a everyday player.

Sbr itself has a 6/5 single deck table. Back in the day. Sbr had single deck at 3/2. I was like a kid in the candy store there. That has long since changed.

Don't blame the Venetian blame the squares who play 6:5 blackjack. A fool and their money are soon parted. To me all this says don't play blackjack at the Venetian. Hell playing blackjack on the strip anywhere isn't a good idea, best odds found off strip

Wouldn't surprise me if it was for all blackjack. Harrah's bj pays 6:5 on lower limit shoe games (under $25)

These places get people in there with shops and restaurants then recoup the expense with higher edge games

Every time I go out there odds get worse and worse

Just got back from Vegas. Monte Carlo has 6:5 and 3:2 tables. The 3:2 tables were mainly high stakes and everything else ($25 min) or less was 6:5. Doesn't give you much off an option if you want to play BJ and cant afford the high stakes tables.

I won't give any of my money to Sheldon or Trump when I am Vegas.

You may be right Drinker but, I didn't drop a dime at Trumps or Addlesons place.

Actually I may have made on bet at the Roulette table at Venetian.
    Can't remember, was pretty drunk.

The could make it even money, 18 decks in an auto shuffler and an ante and dipshits would still play.

Regular at Mohegan Sun, 3:2 is standard, the exception being 6:5 at the very low limit tables, any table 10 dollar and up, natural 21's pay 3:2, you want a 3 or 5 dollar game, fine, but 6:5 on snappers.

I can live with that, plus Mohegan Sun has always, as in always been card friendly, doesn't mean you will win all the time, but you get a good game.

I agree Nash. I'm from long island and when I want to go to the casino strictly for blackjack, and less partying I go to Mohegan or foxwoods. I also seem to do pretty well with the match the dealer side bet. When I want to go to A.C., its borgata blackjack mostly with a little golden nugget. Nugget is only place in AC with the match the dealer game.

Your dumb ass couldn't even scrounge up the table minimums at Venetian. Go back to flipping Pokeman cards.

p.s.- jay, trump doesn't have a casino in Vegas. Hotel only.

The indian casinos here in tulsa have a ante at their bj tables. Better games at fair online casinos. I only play slots here. And not often. When Taking a bitch out. Rather play online at a reputable casino

Indian casinos in CA used to require an ante some years ago, but they've done away with it. Most have shoe games with 3/2 payouts although they have a lot of auto shufflers as well. I've heard that the card clubs in CA are spreading an ante game with 3/2 payouts.
