How do you guys feel he'll do against Hathaway? After analyzing the fight for a while, I decided to pull the trigger.

Dont know much about hathaway. I know he is 12-0 and 3-0 in the UFC but have not seen any of his fights since they have been on the undercard (Tom egan ?Rick story and Paul taylor)Story and taylor are decent fighters. but a big step up for hathaway with sanchez.Sanchez is on the crossroads of being a top 5 155lb and top 5 170lb and has to win to work his way back to a title shot.Dont see Sanchez losing but UFC does this time to time brings a less known up in coming fighter fight a UFC star veteran.Jon jones vs Bonnar( jones was unkown)Junior Dos Santos vs Werdum ect ect. But i see Sanchez grinding out a decision.

I've also made a very large play on Diego. I think the line should be higher than it is. Diego will have cardio, speed, and striking advantage. Wrestling, at worst, is even.

Please explain Brooks. I've watched Hathaway's UFC fights and he fights slow and methodical. He doesn't have any wins over top competition. He had a rather lame decision win over Taylor in his last fight. Diego will be back at 170 where he has more power. He is going to be looking to make a statement after getting handled by Penn.

to me this hathaways fight to win or lose. He has every tangible advantage there is in this fight. Diego going to face the same problem as when he fought fitch,penn and kos. Hathaway has the jab and the wrestling which will defeat diego. Diegos striking is very agressive but very sloppy. He might have the speed advantage throwing combos with kicks, however, hathaway has the jab, diegos kryptonite.

I personally didnt find anything slow about hathaways fight vs story or taylor. He worked the whole time and did his thing, which was very methodical. And i would also take story over diego in second because he also is a better wrestler. Diego is not a top wrestler, the fact of the matter is, he has just faced guys he can outwrestle, hathaway wont be one of them. Story is a top wrestler and he had hathway on his back at one point and hathway reveresed position. That is extremely impressive to me because story is a beast and there are very few people that could do that, let alone even get a TD on story, which hathaway did mulitple times.

Fight is defo gonna be a decision...both dont have knock out power and although Sanchez could choke out Hathaway I dont think it will happen. If ur gonna bet on Hathaway at all it would make sense to bet on him to win by decision at much better odds thn for him to just win....ther's no way he's going to win by submission or TKO IMO.

Good point about betting the decision if you take Hathaway. Hathaway won't be able to control Diego on the ground or in the clinch which really diminishes any chance of getting diego's back. Also, Diego has never been finished via submission and he isn't going to gas so there is a really slim chance of him getting caught in any type of arm lock or choke.
