Default Randy Couture Turned Down 3 Million From Bodog To Fight Fedor

He should have just took the offer from Bodog.

Randy Couture Turned Down 3 Million From Bodog To Fight Fedor

The following is an excerpt from a Randy Couture press conference recap over at FiveOuncesOfPain.com:

Couture also said that media reports claiming he was due to receive several million dollars per fight under his current contract were flatly untrue. He later said that he came out of retirement to fight for the UFC heavyweight title after turning down a $3 million dollar offer from the Bodog organization for a match with Fedor Emelianenko.

“That’s more money than I’ve ever been offered to fight,” Couture said of the Bodog offer

Randy should quit saying then, that part of his retirement is because he could not fight Fedor. Apparently he had a chance.

Obviously Couture has class. He could of easily took the 3 million and layed down. I have much respect for the guy. It's obviously not the money that is important to him. It his legacy. Pure class. What boxer do you know would ever turn that down?

Couture must be taking retirement seriously to turn down that money.

Otherwise he may just think this is just a joke and Bodog won't pay, or he just wants more.

Maybe he heard about some sports gamblers getting slow paid and decided it wasn't worth the risk
