Anyone else think Coenen has a chance? She is at +480 right now and I think it's worth 1 unit. I remember Cyborg getting mounted by Carano like 3 times in there fight but then Carano just let her up. Coenen can fight.

I'm half tempted to parlay Coenen and Sims given the line movements... just a couple bucks...

i'm tempted to take Riggs, Heroin doesn't always bring a great chin to fight.

  4. #74

Jay is known to cut too many lbs just to make weight. Add that he may be chinny. Riggs is my bet.

I would never put a dollar on riggs personally, especially looking at his performance from his last "real" fight, against baroni. If the same riggs shows up I am used to seeing, hieron is going to work him.

Coenen knows her way around an armbar, I'd imagine Cyborg won't try do the dumb takedowns she did against Carano in this fight though

Surprised Strikeforce is giving this guy a chance. Coming in to this fight looking like that is pathetic. After getting destroyed in TUF, you'd think he would train hard and get in decent shape for a fight that could potentially give him a name in Strikeforce.

Love Jay Heiron tonight. And what about this Coenen lady. Can somebody tell me anything about her or why i should bet on her? i know nothing of her, but i'm open to a small play on a +525 if there is at least a little value in it.

She is no push over. She isn't a cupcake like Lashley is getting. She has submissions and stand up. I was not overly impressed by Cyborg's win over Carano. Carano had her mounted like 3 times. I think Coenen has the skills to pull out an upset. Coenen should be an underdog but not one at over +500. I put one unit on it.

Haven't been around much - been pretty busy. Hope to get a thread up for UFC 109 next Saturday. But anyways, not much I love tonight but 2 bets I made earlier:

Manhoef (-170): 3.5 units to win 2.05 units
Whitemare (+230): 1 unit to win 2.3 units

  35. #105

    Default

    Got my 5dimes account up...

    Official Plays
    1.0 unit Nick Diaz (-235)
    1.0 unit Melvin Manoef (-192)
    0.5 unit Marloes Coenen (+540)
    0.5 unit Herschel Walker (-330)
    0.5 unit Jay Hieron (-310)
0.5 unit 7 team SF & UFC parlay -- Nick Diaz, Jay Hieron, Herschel Walker, Couture, Marquardt, Maia, Dos Santos

Love Zaromskis as a fighter, but after watching his fights with Che Mills, I just think Diaz takes this one.

Was iffy on the Manhoef - Lawler bout at first, but I see Manhoef's low base aiding his TDD (Mousasi said its tough to get Melvin down), and for him to win this slugfest.

And I can't resist the odds on Coenen. I see that as a good value play.

With or against, BOL to all.

    ED
