anyone who doesnt put gracie in a parlay, shame on you. Missing out an extremely high probability fight. Beltran has never even walked by anyone with the kind of ground game gracie has. Beltrans striking is just ugly and not technical at all. It works well against other hw with even slower striking. Even if gracie decides to keep the fight standing I like his odds, that is how sloppy beltrans striking is.

It is obvious why beltran is making his ufc appearance with no important wins or accomplishments in area of mma, it is for the benefit of gracie. Unless you count combat league title as something that actually holds any meaning.

and with all that, a striker going against a bjj wizard who has the size advantage, is never a good thing.

Gracie is a good parlay for sure even with his ridiculous odds.

Exactly this. I don't know anything about Gracie (just the Gracie name in general), but I know Beltran is awful AND coming in on short notice AND at a weight disadvantage. Great analysis brooks85.

I don't see Couture finishing this, and I don't see either one dominating the other so it should be a close decision.
I hope and believe you're wrong

Coleman was never good, in my eyes. Not even in his younger days. He was always slow and had lousy cardio. And as you say, Coutures boxing is miles ahead of Coleman. If Couture fights this smart (NO clinch against the cage) he's going to take it with very small risk of losing, imo.

Might be the perspective of the pic, but Sonnen looks larger than Nate... just kinda surprised me.

That Gracie L stings a bit... An octagon debut at over -500 should've warned me off... argh.

So far I'm 0-2. I suck! If you want to win a ton of money here are the rest of my picks. Just pick the exact opposite if you want to make a fortune. Davis, Emerson, Danzig, Torres, Serra, Swick, and Couture. I've lost virtually every bet I've made today in every sport. It's unreal.

mmajunkie's live results seem to be more in line with the judges as far as scoring goes on the decisions... compared to sherdog.

im shocked gracie had cardio issues period, let alone before beltran. Ive seen plenty of his bjj vids, I couldn't believe what I was reading on sherdogs playbyplay. Fight started out as expected but apparently he spent every ounce of energy in his takedown.

And beltran giving up his back to gracie, how in the world does he not finish?

Beltran pulled it out though, i look forward to watching it
