Weird, lots of people seeing it differently. I gave it to Newton, though, but I wasn't paying the most attention.

Clear Newton round, I think. He even got the better of the punching exchanges.

40-36 Newton, but R1 was close and I missed some of R3. R2 and R4 were clearly Newton.

How do you have 4? Veigh was kind of running away, but that one was close.

Stupid bet on my part. Didn't realize how inactive Vegh would be and how stupid his corner would be.

Surprised Newton is not targeting the right arm of Vegh more.

Between the 4th and 5th round Vegh's corner was coaching him on who to thank during his victory interview

Felt like he clearly won it, veigh wasn't landing anything significant. Veigh did well in 4 but he was moving away to much

50-45 Newton, I think anything short of 48-47 would be criminal. Newton clearly won 2,4,5, and 1&3 were very close.

    I disagree. 3rd round was Vegh's best.

Come on judges, it was a long 5 rounder. Difficult to pay attention so long, just give the nod to Vegh.

Terrible corner. Vegh needed to be more active. Can't win a decision getting peppered the entire fight and not responding.

Thought Attila clearly won the 3rd and first was a toss-up but Newton won the other 3.

    vegh is so stupid
he clearly has the tools to win this fight
he was winning most of the exchanges
    but he'd rather back away
and his stupid corner telling him to reset reset... nooo penetrating engage you idiot

think Vegh came out with some ring rust and may have had a cardio issue. stuffed every takedown but was looking gassed at the end. He really thought he was winning the fight going into the 4th though , if his corner had been honest with him maybe he wouldn't have fought so conservative.

vegh won the title from m'pumbu, basically a welterweight who prefers to fight LH cuz he's too stupid/lazy to do a cut...

that fight was a similar snore-fest...

can't understand how guys can train for months, have their livelihoods on the line...and then perform with so little sense of urgency/importance...

it takes two to tangle...and Newton did his best to engage but a ridiculously ill-prepared "TeamVegh" showed up with no game plan apart from "keep it standing" ruined it...

I like Bellator and their tournament-centred format and constant search for new blood...they are very very good in every weightclass except one...bellator LHW division (apart from Newton) sucks bigtym

IMO, arguably the single best fight last year, in a year of absolute hum-dingers (it was certainly right up there with the very best of the UFC clashes--Jones/Gustaffson, Bigfoot/Hunt, and Melendez/Sanchez), was bellator's Chandler/Alvarez#2...by contrast, Vegh's last two "fights" and Lawal's last two "fights" are all excruciatingly dull...

Bellator LHW fights have all the intensity of two WTA broads simultaneously on the rag in the opening round of some random no-name tournament

I think it's one of their strongest divisions. After lightweight and featherweight, I'd rank them lightheavyweight, welterweight, bantamweight, heavyweight, middleweight, IMO.

What a painful fight to watch. The volume from Newton & the sh*t ton of backing up from Veigh decided this one. Few more solid combinations to Newton coming forward it would have been interesting. The quality of strikes was on Veigh's side big time tho. Didn't help that Veigh's corner was basically kissing his feet between every round telling him everything was roses.

Yeah. I bet too much on Rickels as well. Also threw some money away on Girtz. Girtz won rd. 1. But then telegraphed a shot and ate a monster knee. Campos, Held & Newton helped mitigate the damage though.

You said pre-fight that Vegh had the cardio edge, yet Newton's clearest rounds were the final two. He won pretty easily, and Vegh winning would have been nothing short of a robbery. I dunno what fight you were watching if you think that Vegh had any sort of value. He did absolutely nothing for the entire fight.

I think he definitely wins the fight more than 33.33% of the time which makes the value on him.

But people do not meet 3 times or more. Its the fight there and then who counts. People very often dont understand that concept.Every fight is quite different with different factors you need to weigh. Some times there injuries, layoffs etc which mean this.."...if they meet 10 times" concept wont work. To getting close to an accurate diagonsis before a specific fight you need to be a bit more cleaver than to just toss in money on a perceived value phenomen. Maybe for instance in fight nr 3 veigh has 80% chance to win, and newton 30 % in another fight if that make any sense?
