UFC 172 Phil Davis VS Rumble Johnson..

Why is phil davis such a fave? they are pretty much both the same style wise both strong wrestlers, except anthony johnson has KO power. maybe rumbles cardio could be a factor though. i think this could be a case of a fighters record influencing the line, A submission over gustaffson a while ago which he used as a wake up call and went on a tear, and a controversial split dec against machida and suddenly hes the fave. how will it play out when they cancel each-others wrestling and its a stand up fight? thoughts and opinions people?

I guess because Phil Davis is coming off a win against a top contender (whether you think it was a deserved win or not) and Rumble has been beating average competition outside of UFC

Rumble was a NJCAA wrestler, Davis was a 4 time NCAA All-American and Davis has shown in past that his MMA wrestling is good enough to beat solid opposition - Gustafsson, Nogueira, Boetsch, Machida, while Rumble was taken down and choked out by Koscheck

same here. Someone apparently agrees with marz. I was shocked to get davis at -145, and then had to take it again at -125.

Also took the over at +100

Davis in a landslide. Rumble will have to KO him in the first if he wants to win. 2nd & 3rd rounds will be quite boring imo. In other words, Davis on top control or having rumble up against the fence.

It was a line error. Though, last bad line I bet on 5D, they honoured, so who knows.

not trying to get in a back and forth, just wonder why 100's of my bets barely off market if there even was another market open at the time get canceled almost immediately and you get paid out on a bad line. No need to get defensive.was the bad line copied from somewhere else? Was there another market to compare it to? Did they say they will pay out and it was a bad line? how off market was it? You cant just throw out some vague fact that goes against everything known about them and expect someone to just take your word for it. Because I got at least 10 examples of the opposite happening. Ive had bets canceled even though 5d was the ONLY one in the world with that market up and the "correct" line was barely different.

well since md clearly wants nothing to do with this issue or clarify anything he stated. What are anyone elses experiences with off market numbers on that sportsbook? because every single one of mine has resulted in canceled bets and threatening messages.

not sure if you're referring to me, but it really doesnt matter at this point. they clearly have a policy and cancel almost anything slightly off. I am just facinated that md actually got payed out on a bad line. i just wonder how far it was off market? I have had h2h bets on obscure shit for low limits that was supposedly flipped odds which amounted to literally just dollars difference and canceled within 30 mins. either i have terrible luck or im doing something wrong. i dont want to know the specific bet. Just tell how off market it was or if there was even another market out there to compare it to.

If there was a hypothetical line that was paid out like this in the past, showing others how to hit it would be detrimental.

I will say, the best way to get a bad line to stick is only hit it once, and hit it right before close. If you hammer it, it'll be obvious.

i dont think saying how far off would give anything away. Im pretty sure hitting multiple times is a dead give away but the size of the bet does not matter. Hell Sac said his 25 dollar or 50 dollar wwe parlay with huge juice was cancelled by these people. I had f1 h2h bets that amounted to happy meal money that was completely torched by them. I will say none were near closing. But if it's near closing that is not really a bad line / flipped line. If the market has been open awhile that is just an opinionated line at that point.

Not really, sometimes no one notices whats off. I've been shocked numerous times by lines that opened off by 100 cents or more and never get touched.

ive never seen it that far off near closing. must be a small market. are you saying 100 cents off your prediction or 100 cents off a market leader?? I have seen that big of differences off on slow moving books but not the one we are talking about. bookmaker is extremely slow on many things, but im just talking about this book. like I said I have had a lot of experiences and all were very negative. I guess i just have a black cloud over my head.

how does a book cancel for a bad line when they are the only one with that market open? Ive asked that myself a 1000 times. And no I do not play bad lines on purpose. I value my account.

If you had actually been "fascinated" you could have just asked me about it without being a c-nt and I would have told you. Generally if you want clarification on a statement you doubt the validity of, it's better to ask politely, rather than rant about how the person is a liar out of ignorance. Acting like a butthurt child is only going to get you ignored. Like now. See you brah, looking forward to your next account.

If im so ignorant just pm nunya proof of this "bad line" at this certain book and the payout. If he tells me it's legit, I will apologize for calling you a liar. he can just post in this thread yes or no. If not if you're just going to ignore me an d the subject it prooves you were talking out of your ass again, cought again, and pretend you're too good for all this and walk away like you won.

whatever md, you're so predictable, right here talking to me and then just disappear i know you read what I posted. You just f-cking responded in the thread. You made a thread trying to expose game for bad math skills yet Im butthurt for calling you lair after you claimed a certain sportsbook just gave you money on a "bad line" which is by far a more outlandish lie than gabe forgetting all the units he bet.

The books can do pretty much what they want. I made a stupid bet on Shields ITD the other night, they wouldn't void or change it for me, I have no doubt that if I caught them on a bet they would cancel it due to an error.
