Doing 100 on each of the first 3 and small 50 on Swick. Feel good about the picks as I think they are value.

    Wilkes +130
    Kang -120
    Vera-110
    Swick -220

wagered $280 to win $150 locked in at -185 on swick. i feel fairly confident. swick is at around -260 right now, hopefully that's a good sign.

I like that Swick play at lot for that price. If I could get it there I would but -260 is too high for me.

    Superman_Punch-
I would say good luck but I'm going against you on two of your plays haha.

Thanks Ill. I was going to put more but I didn't perform the due diligence needed to do so.

    RobbReport-
Do you think so? I've been seeing that a lot but I didn't think it was a robbery. Vera didn't nothing with the takedown and mount and landed two strikes in the round. Does that negate the three and a half minutes where Randy was the aggressor, landed more blows (albeit less powerful), and controlled the action? I don't know which is correct but for this, I don't see it as a robbery. Maybe a shit decision but not a robbery.

Very was robbed indeed. It was such a boring fight that all Couture did was CLINCH! clinch clinch

I remember when Vera took down Randy and he was on top (i think that was on the 3rd round). All Randy did was grappled and tried to take down Vera. But he NEVER took him down because of excellent defense of Vera.

at least sherdog play by play agrees with me.

I've seen guys that press the action and control the pace lose decisions before. that's all randy did was throw love taps and hold him against the cage.

No doubt at all that it was boring. But Randy clinching was exactly what Tim Sylvia did to beat Vera. Muscle his ass around and clinch against the fence. Boring but effective. Just going straight by the NSAC judging criteria of Octagon Control, Clean Striking, Effective Grappling, and Effective Aggressiveness, Randy wins hands down in Octagon Control and Effective Aggressiveness. Effective Grappling you can throw Vera's way because of the takedown and move to mount. Clean striking is what it all boils down too. Those two big body kicks from Vera versus the numerous pecking punches from Couture. The clean knees and elbows were a wash IMO. My guess is that the judges didn't think they were as big as douche bag Rogan thought.

I have no idea. That's where the subjectiveness (is that a word?) comes into play. Vera's two big kicks vs. the pecking of Couture. I guess it has a lot to do with how big you think the shots were. If you were using compubox's stats, everything Randy threw were technically "power shots" because they weren't a jab (which is pretty retarded).

Randy was hurt bad twice, in 2 rounds. fight ending bad. effectively losing those rounds imo.

In the third he was never hurt; Rogan just said he was. It's all subjective though so who knows.

didn't watch the fight but just read about it, wow, didn't expect hardy to beat swick like that, same with kang's defeat. this is some wierd twilight zone episode going on , (:

yea i gave it 29-28 for Vera, but this was hardly a robbery. With his shills vera should have taken Randy apart, i though he won but not convincingly

I wasn't impressed with Vera, he should have finished him twice but it still was a bullshit decision. Imagine if more fights ended with wins like that how pissed you would be. I'm not all that mad at the decision, I just hate the way mma is judged.

Hardy is gonna be a problem in the WW division. Just when everyone starts to wonder who will give GSP trouble, this character comes out of the blue...

well Sera rocked GSP, so Hardy has good enough boxing and power to rock him too. I see GSP taking him down like he usually does and GnP.

Difference with Serra and Hardy is that Hardy knows how to box and Serra doesn't. That unfortunately works against Hardy. Serra threw those looping BS shots that hit GSP in the back of the head while Hardy throws straight crisp punches which GSP can defend. I see it like a poker game. Pros do much better against semi-pros and seasoned amateurs then people who have no idea what they're doing because the semi-pros and seasoned amateurs do things the fundamentally correct way. This fight is a huge mismatch and GSP runs through Hardy. Another five round beatdown in my eyes.
