UFC 105: Tea and Crumpets!
The UFC is again venturing into the UK with a free card on Spike TV. And by the lack of depth on this card, it should be a freebie. Get your bets in early as this will be a tape delayed viewing.
Brandon Vera -110

Brandon Vera (11-3) is making his third trip to England. His first two trips both being losses at the hands of Fabricio Werdum and Keith Jardine. His task gets harder this time when he faces off against Father Time Randy Couture (16-10).
"The Truth" was one of those can't miss prospects with tons of talent and potential. Then... he missed. Vera's career has been filled with lackluster performances that leave you asking what's all the hype about?
Captain America hasn't looked all that heroic in his last two fights. Antonio Nogueria handled Couture with ease in his last fight. Although impressive to be fighting at 46 years old, one has to wonder when the old man will slip and break his hip during a fight.
From a betting standpoint, I can not condone a wager on this fight. Too many what ifs and this really is a coin flip match up.

Dan Hardy (22-6) is squaring off with Mike Swick (14-2) in a number one contenders match. What I'm wondering is why either man would ever want to win this fight? The prize for the newly crowned number one contender... a brutal castrating where George St. Pierre takes their manhood.
Believe it or not, this fight is a step up in competition for both fighters. Mike Swick has had a dominate run over somewhat mediocre UFC fighters. His toughest test coming against Marcus Davis, an opponent that Dan Hardy also beat by decision. That doesn't mean that these two are on the same level though. Swick is better in every aspect of fighting.
Hardy's castration is going to come one fight early. Swick is going to bitch slap Hardy around. So much so, I'll refer to Hardy as Nancy Drew.

R-E-S-P-E-C-T. Michael Bisping (18-2) doesn't get any here in the States. And he shouldn't. Bisping was the chosen pawn of Dana White to help expand the UFC brand into the UK. Once that task was accomplished, Bisping was forced to fight real competition and not the hand picked patsies he was gift wrapped for so long. We all saw what happened...
Lights out
Denis Kang (32-11-1) is a somewhat unknown to a lot of MMA fans. He had success in Pride and hasn't been fighting cans for most of his career. Hopefully this does not go to the judges score cards. Everyone knows the hometown boy Bisping will be getting an unfair advantage on the cards. Even with the chance of a bad decision I say give your RESPECT to the better fighter.

A somewhat weak card and not much to like betting wise on this card makes for a rather unexciting night. Hopefully there are some quality fights or massive KO's.
