Welterweights Anthony Johnson and Josh Koscheck are expected to co-headline UFC 106 on Nov. 21 in Las Vegas.
Sherdog.com was the first to report the bout Tuesday night and MMAWeekly.com subsequently confirmed it from sources close to the bout. Koscheck confirmed his participation on the fall card earlier via his official Twitter account.

This is going to be a good show, the maincard is going to have action in every fight, tito/forrest 2 is going to be even better than the first. I wouldn't mind seeing grove submit rosholt or sotiro put on a clinic but I think davis/saunders is going to a decision more than likely. Also look forward to seeing a healthy karo, he was like nog in his fight vs mir. I definitely wouldn't pay to go see this event tho or to even watch it for that matter.

I am not sure if you guys will agree with me but I feel like Amir Sadollah is the bet on this card. I am going to go heavy on him. No way he loses to Phil Baroni and i think he will be much more careful against him so he doesn't get caught like he did in his last fight.

yeah man, I can't see him lasting in the UFC after this fight. Also Amir has been training his stand up for awhile. I think it should be far past Baroni's stand up.

My initial thoughts are Baroni and Davis punching right thru their opponents. And I'm a big fan of Amir and Saunders. We'll see how I bet once we get closer...

Karo has not looked like an elite fighter in years imo. Too bad i missed the opener at Haz +220. Hoping name recognition puts this back in the +, but not sure it will. Hazlett the more versatile opponent imo and Karo seems to have many health problems, both physical and mental. Would like to find some interview with him/trainers/camp and try to get an idea on how his training is progressing. Most likely a bet on Hazelett for me.

Depends on which karo shows up, his last fight he was very ill. A healthy karo will destroy dustin imo. His last 3 loses were tough comp stungun/alves/sanchez, all very top notch fighters. Need to find some training videos on karo.

Spike is airing some prelims again!!!!
http://mmajunkie.com/news/16805/sour...s-saunders.mma
Source: Spike TV to broadcast UFC 106 prelim fights, including Davis vs. Saunders
by Dann Stupp on Nov 10, 2009 at 5:50 pm ET
"For the third consecutive UFC pay-per-view event, Spike TV will air a portion of the night's preliminary card.
A source close to the event today told MMAjunkie.com ( www.mmajunkie.com) that Spike TV will carry live two fights from next week's "UFC 106: Ortiz vs. Griffin II" card.
The one-hour broadcast will feature a potentially exciting welterweight contest between strikers Marcus Davis (16-5 MMA, 8-3 UFC) and Ben Saunders (7-1-2 MMA, 3-1 UFC), as well as a middleweight bout between Kendall Grove (10-6 MMA, 5-3 UFC) and Jake Rosholt (6-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC).
Spike TV officials could not comment on the broadcast when contacted today by MMAjunkie.com, but an official announcement is expected in the next few days.
UFC 106 takes place Nov. 21 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas and features a main event (and rematch) between former UFC light heavyweight champions Tito Ortiz and Forrest Griffin.
The Spike TV broadcasts is expected to air live at 9 p.m. ET (6 p.m. PT).
The UFC first decided to do a Spike TV two-bout preliminary card broadcast in September for UFC 103 as part of a large promotional push to counter the night's Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Juan Manuel PPV boxing offering. The Spike TV special proved so successful (with 1.4 million viewers) that the UFC put together a similar broadcast preview for UFC 104, which drew another 1.4 million viewers.
Davis looks to bounce back from a hotly contested split decision loss to Dan Hardy at June's UFC 99 event in Germany. The loss snapped a two-fight win streak (which included a submission win over Paul Kelly and a split-decision win over Chris Lytle) for "The Irish Hand Grenade," who posted 11 straight wins (six in the UFC) from 2006 to 2008. His opponent, Saunders, looks to rebound from a disappointing TKO loss to Mike Swick at UFC 99. The second-round defeat was the first loss of "Killa B's" career. The American Top Team and cast member from "The Ultimate Fighter 6" product had secured seven straight victories after opening his career with back-to-back draws.
Grove, hoping to break some of his recent inconsistency, looks to rebound from a unanimous decision loss to Ricardo Almeida at UFC 101 in August. The loss curbed the momentum "The Ultimate Fighter 3" winner had gained with a split-decision win over Evan Tanner and a knockout of Jason Day in his prior two bouts. Rosholt, meanwhile, looks to build off his UFC 102 submission victory over Chris Leben. The performance, which earned Rosholt a $60,000 Submission of the Night bonus, was arguably the biggest win of his career. The three-time NCAA Division I national wrestling champion made his octagon debut earlier this year and suffered a submission loss to Dan Miller. "

he hasnt fought since 08.
and since the last time these two met:
tito beat shamrock twice , lost to liddell, draw w/ evans, and another loss to machida
griffin went 4-3, obviously won the belt for a short period of time, but those three L's all come from ko/tko.
ortiz is coming in with a 15-6 record with 8 ko/tko. but if you look at those, 3 come from shamrock, 1 from elvis sinosic (50% of losses due to KO) and a slam to evan tanner. i dont think forrests weak chin and titos mediocre punching power are going to factor in this fight. and both these guys are known for going the distance.
forest gets better as the rounds go on. griffin with get the decision victory
