looks like a rematch between Fitch and Alves will take place at UFC 107. Fitch just had his match with Ricardo Almeida at ufc 106 cancelled after Almeidas injury. Thiago Alves was supposed to Face Paulo Thiago at 107.

Almeida was on dog alert. Almeida/fitch would have went exactly the same as fitch/paulo except almeida is 10x stronger than paulo and would have no trouble subbing fitch if he locked one in. Shame, i was really looking forward to this one ever since I saw the matchup.

Thiago Alves is a completely different monster from their first fight and Jon Fitch ....well...the man just keeps on winning. (except GSP)

Fitch is on many pound for pound lists deservedly so....

IF he wins this.....he'll get another shot at GSP.

Fitch was exposed by GSP and he got lucky in his fight against Alves. If Alves cuts weight right he can knock Fitch out before it hits the ground. He has the advantage in speed, power and BJJ. Fitch would only have advantage in wrestling. I like Fitches work ethic but it was funny to me how he lied and said he gives his neck up to bait guys in...what a crock of shit.

Hard to think of a suitable main card replacement at WW to fight Fitch here. May wind up moving Alan Belcher vs. Wilson Gouveia to main card. Belcher always brings it, good to have on main card imo.
