Had all this info written down in a book. The majority of these reaches are from the fighters most recent tale of the tape. Some long forgotten names on the list.

I like Kendall, just think Rosholt has what it takes. His wrestling is top notch but he may just go for the KO. I see the fight being mostly on the ground unless one knocks the other out.

well the good thing for grove is, jake is a completely one dimensional fighter. His striking is bad, as he showcased against a slow, out-of-shape, unmotivated leben in his last fight. And as soon as jake starts getting punched in the face, he is going to go for the td and we will see a rosholt/miller ending all over again. Atleast thats what im banking on. The level of BJJ that seperates these two is vast.

aslo, grove is a much better striker than jake imo, and the 5'' height and 5'' reach advantage will be deadly for jake. And the line movement tells you a lot. Jake won his last fight, grove lost his. The public is giving way too much credit to jakes win over a sloppy leben and not giving enough credit to grove who almost beat Almeida. And as a almeida backer I was very worried as i watched that fight.

the books don't release a -215 favorite on someone, unless they are the favorite.

    Opening line -
    Grove -215
    jake +170

good points brooks, I bet on grove in that almeida fight and thought he looked amazing, I thought his takedown defense looked much improved even though almeida was able to take him down

exactly, thats why im loving grove in this spot. I mean we are talking about almeida here. He isn't the most seasoned fighter in mma but his skill strectches far outside the cage. His mmabjj is unquestionable. When I bet on marq over maia, the almeida/marq fight almost turned me off. That fight shows how good almeida is, he just muscles Marquardt into a guilltone. A guy who has only be submitted twice, other time by the man himself, genki sudo. Nate is so pissed after the guillotine he lands some punches after the stoppage.

In grove/almeida, grove locks in a guilltione on almeida in the first.
In the second round, when almeida gets the td, grove locks in guillitone, gets his legs wrapped but another easy escape for almeida. A ender for rosholt. Then, grove locks in a ridiculous armbar on Almeida, just nasty looking, of course, almeida escapes. Then, grove almost locks in a legbar right after that.
also adds an omaplata in the third but can't secure it.

All these submissions were easy to escape for guy whose bjj game is as tight as almeida (And really, it is a testament too grove that he was able to lock some of those subs in, BJ penn has taken groves bjj game too another level).

But for rosholt, grove is going to dan miller him.

    Hardy on Swick
"...the difference is Mike’s a great athlete, but I have a fighter’s mentality. I just want to get in there and start trading punches, and that’s really going to be an advantage for me.”

excellent, swick is going to pick him apart. Hardy got outstriked by davis 104-73 and davis has alligator arms.

dont underestimate hardy's boxing technique, probably some of the best counter punching I have seen in mma, a considerable speed advantage for swick but I think Hardy is the bigger puncher, swick with the better ground game of course

Hardy is a durable guy but i dont think his striking is anything special, atleast not compared to swicks. Hardy has great hands but he gets hit a lot. He had 4'' reach on davis and I was pretty surprised that he got outstruck in that match. I think swicks speed and reach advantage are going to be too much for him. However it goes down, it is a great matchup and the winner has gsp next.

come on we all thought Ben Saunders was gonna give him hell after he destroyed Wolf but Swick put that idea to rest quick.

I will give you that much rob but if you don't think hardy is a whole lot better than saunders your crazy, saunders never has and never will beat anyone close to the likes of Davis ,markham and gono, just watch and see how quickley Marcus davis takes him out

just look at who swick has beat in his career and tell me this isn't his toughest fight to date outside of okami who he lost to, and we have since found out that all the hype around how good okami is was bullshhit

Well okami is elite and definitely showed some ringust against sonnen. Sonnen added himself as a huge threat the way he beat okami, even if he doesnt think so(that quote about his matchup with okami), joe silva knows how good okami is. Sonnen has had his best performances in the cage these past two fights. Maia and earlier he had been beating up on no names and wasn't looking good doing it. Filho was an outofshape joke in their second fight.

Nothing against saunders but that was his first time in the deepend, he didn't put up much of a match. Swick knew it right when he stood up and shrugged. Hardy will be 10x the competiton compared to saunders.
